But apparently they were off the menu. He figured they were a sacred animal to the Fire Nation or something. At least Zuko let them eat some of the eggs, but the Fire Nation was weird."

I like to think even when they escape the island, it takes years for Sokka to learn that turtle-ducks aren't sacred. They were just Zuko's favourite animal 😅 hopefully a strange comment followed by odd looks and Sokka gets educated
