I understand what you're feeling regarding actor/persona thing at one point I wanted to know so much more about them that I went to a spn con it wasn't bad but instead of feeling closer to them I actually felt more detached and clearly saw a line between fans and actors, plus the con dramas, and the actors seem exhausted I felt guilty for even taking up their time so I decided no more cons for me (igotmypicwithj2m2YASS) I'm sure they're good people but personal space is good (deancastielly)

I’m going to a SPN convention too this May (PurCon in Düsseldorf, Germany) but I’m actually scared of interacting with the actors. I go there because I want to be in a space where fellow SPN fans are. And I do want to experience the atmosphere of a convention. But it’s like a theatre or a concernt with me. There’s a very clear boundary that exists between stage and audience, even if they come off stage to mingle with us. There are there to entertain us, yes, but on their own terms. That is the mind set I’ll take with me to the convention. I don’t expect anything but their performance which I paid for to see.

But the idea of going to photo ops (I have several included in my ticket)? Horrifying. Especially as I’ve read stories of how you just have two seconds with them anyway. I think that takes some of the magic out of it too? Also, I don’t want to take up actors’ time either. Here’s my art, please sign it (I paid for this service, so I don’t feel like I’m making unreasonable demands on them), thank you and good bye.

But you definitely don’t have to feel guilty about going to cons. They are paid to attend, just like pay to attend. If you don’t step out of line (as some fans apparently did or do) then you’re not to blame for their exhaustion.

Hello! Unfortunately, I’m a pc user who has never used a mac so I can’t be much help myself. However, there are a few gif tutorials for mac users out there if you want to check them out. It seems most of them use VLC Player + Photoshop.
