Aziraphale and Lucifer (@tvkingchvnces) | Outside of the Cozy Corner
Aziraphale wouldn’t have used the word “searching” to describe what he had been doing. “Searching” implied an uncomfortable sort of nigh-stalking, something that a civilized gentleman like himself was most certainly above. Yet, there really wasn’t any better word for the way he’d spent his day off, wandering between the town’s less upstanding haunts in pursuit of a certain sinful someone.
If only he’d known his target was somewhere far more innocuous: just outside of the town’s quaint little cafe, the Cozy Corner.
Aziraphale was just about to put his hand on the cafe’s front door and push it open when he spotted a dark, dramatic figure from the corner of his eye. At first, he didn’t believe it could him, here of all places, but a second, more direct look disproved his intuitions. For a moment, he wondered what business Lucifer even had here, but soon realized that it hardly mattered. Needless nosiness would do nothing to answer his question.
“Excuse me...um...” he started, hastily approaching Lucifer. “Mr. Morningstar. I really do hate to be a bother, but may I speak with you for a moment? If you’re occupied, I can, uh, wait for better time of course. But something strange happened recently, and I’ve been hoping you might have some insight given your...position.”
