so louis is their mouthpiece for every apology to atone for wrongs done to any character in the show, for which his body has to be desecrated time and time again just so other characters can take a step towards healing while NO ONE even tries to come to terms in any meaningful way, for the insidious ways he is destroyed and the many times his abuse is a charade for human/vamp enjoyment. but louis, the fountain of empathy must always grovel for apology, because he loved his daughter, because he was depressed in her loss, because he is Black and takes pride in that. great.

I think my opinions are some of the most objective and correct in the IWTV fandom because I'm a lesbian so the physical appearance of male characters has absolutely no effect on me and does not influence it at all. I couldn't care less about Armand uwu japanime eyes or Lestat sexy outfits or Louis' cute smile or whatever. Never gonna defend a character's shitty actions because he's hot or hate on a character because he's been mean to my crush. I'm just out there having fun. I'm the superior fan.

i need a lot of people in this fandom (especially white folk) to stop using rigid moral values to facilitate how they feel about a character in a show about fictional vampires.

TVL by showcasing what lestat went through and his own recollection of it isn't justifying his actions or using fucking DARVO.

the show is just providing context on why he makes the choices he does. this does not justify the hurt and pain he caused louis and claudia. you can feel empathy for what he went through without justifying his actions.

they're all mass murderers, moral rigidity is wasted upon them.

Thinking about how the last time Claudia saw Louis, it was revealed to her the desperation and stubbornness of her turning from Louis. The hatred she had for him probably only increased as she ruminated over her turning for the past 77 years stuck in purgatory.

I love that Daniel tells Lestat on the tour bus that he's fine and great and of course he doesn't have transformational trauma he loves being a vampire. Then as soon as he's on a dinner date with Louis he's like "OMG it SUCKS! I'm so fucking lonely - I've picked up bowling! Bowling Louis!"
