listen, i’m convinced we’re gonna get more of wolf killer Lestat so i’m holding criticism of how what we got in episode 2/Toledo wasn’t enough but the people excusing it by saying “they are painful memories so Lestat is glossing over it”
you can’t seriously tell me that he chose to do detailed recollections of himself stuttering at the dinner table through the years and him and Gabrielle calling his brothers and father cabbages over the single most heroic and dramatic act of his human life, the act that got him his fancy cloak and introduced him to Nicki and was one of the biggest reasons why he was chosen to be a vampire
i will excuse “oh well they had budget issues so they chose not to do it” two dogs fighting 8 wolves and a horse dying a violent death would be expensive (again, if we don’t get a more fleshed out version of that scene later) before i believe that the brat prince-the biggest drama queen of all vampires- just decided to prioritize his backstory that way
edit/update: after some thought i am no longer convinced we’re getting another version of the wolf hunt
