Is anyone else really worried about how Stiles is going to handle the darkness surrounding his heart now that he's sacrificed himself and has given power back to the nemeton? He more than Scott or Allison is in real danger of succumbing to that darkness. Scott is pure and good, and I believe he will be able to fight the darkness and rise above it. Allison already has darkness in her heart, but she is able to fight off that darkness by shutting herself down. She can be cold and brutal, but I don't think she would allow herself to be entirely swept away by the darkness, especially after what Gerard did to her. But Stiles... Stiles feels everything so intensely, and he already sees the world in shades of gray. He has so much pain bottled up inside, and yet he cannot force himself not to feel. I worry that he won't be able to handle what's coming, that he's going to lose himself... that we are going to lose him...
This is something that worries me too. I wouldn't say I'm worried MORE for Stiles necessarily, but I'm worried in different ways for the three of them. As long as Stiles has Scott (maybe Allison as well now?) and they're going through this stuff together - he'll be ok.
I'm curious where Jeff will take this though. Personally (Brook here) I kinda want to take the 'darkness' as a metaphor for growing up. Kind of what happens to all of us. The more we see of the world, the harder we have to fight to keep our hearts light. The harder we have to work to remain pure.
So I hope that's the direction they're taking things and not making it an actual supernatural force that they'll be struggling against. (The one exception type of thing though might be how packs work. Like when Cora says you lose a member of pack it's worse than family?? Maybe this is the emissary equivalent of that?)
What are your thoughts guys???
