Is the baby ok?! Is Jing ok? What about Nezha, azure?? What is everyone’s reactions?!
Tw childbirth, labor, pregnancy
Azure had rushed Jing to the ER in the car (yes he can drive) with Nezha, the others soon behind. The other au’s were very concerned but were focused more on the cubs, who were absolutely freaking out and crying/screaming.
Jing does eventually regain consciousness as he’s being wheeled in, and while he is disorientated he is also having a MAJOR panic attack. He’s a) in pain from labor, b) Freaking out over of the baby is ok, c) desperate to know where his other kids are, and d) continuing his earlier freakout from finding out who his dad really is.
Azure… well he’s just trying to make sense of the glibbetish coming out of his loves mouth, trying to comfort both him and Nezha, while also trying not to freak over jing going into early labor.
Nezha is a mess, but a more controlled one. He’s phoned jinzha and Muzha to let them know, and attempting to keep himself calm after watching his father litterally have a meltdown so bad he went into labor not an hour earlier.
After the others arrive at the hospital, they and the Zha brothers had to wait 7 hours until they could see Jing again. All while listening to the screams of pain, rage, and sadness coming from the delivery room.
All the hubbub is very uncomfortable for the au’s, since nothing like this has really happened to their jing before. F!Wukong is much more level headed, bc they’ve done this song and dance before, but Jing’s sudden burst at the house had him seriously rattled.
The baby is born premature, though quite healthy. In the end the baby, a healthy little boy by the name of 姜 (Jiāng) aka Ginger, because of the patches of soft orange-red fur on that he has. However, Jing’s distress on top of being born early caused a few complications during the labor. Of which impacted Gingers hearing, making him deaf.
Hi! Not sure if this is a weird ask but I'm trying to find a Kylux fix I read once and you seem to have read a lot of fics so maybe you can help me? I remember it was about Kylo turning Hux into his slave and he used the force to make hux deaf and blind so he had to rely on Kylo. If you cant help that's totally okay too!
Hi, darling! The only one I can find that is similar to what you’ve described is this one but it’s more Poe/Hux than Kylo/Hux! 🖤

They all got away. All of them except for Poe Dameron, the best pilot in the Resistance. Kylo Ren, angered that he couldn't destroy the entirety of the Resistance, took it out on Poe Dameron's hide and made him a slave. Abused, broken, alone. His wings taken and shredded. After all, there is no use for a blind and deaf pilot, now is there? Poe's spirit has all but broken and he is clinging to life. Hope, though, can be found in the most unexpected of places.

Tw: cochlear implant surgery, infertility struggles, divorce
Valentina was born deaf, but like every other difficulty in her life, she took it in stride. At the age of 5 she got a cochlear implant and went through years of hearing rehab and speech therapy so she can now communicate very effectively without having to read lips or sign. She married her college sweetheart and while the two loved each other deeply, lack of communication and struggles with infertility eventually drove them apart. Since her divorce, she has built her life from the ground up and has become a incredibly successful deaf, yoga influencer. She is the embodiment of making things happen for herself.
Valentina was born completely deaf. But it took her parents almost a year to realize that this was the case. Her grandfather was deaf, so her parents knew it could be a possibility for their children as well.
They tried to use hearing aids for several years, but they did nothing for her. So when she was five years old, she had the surgery to install a cochlear implant. This was the start of years and years of hearing rehab and speech therapy.
The adjustment to the implant and hearing was hard on Valentina. Her parents did their best to assure her that her differences didn’t make her any less special, but with how other kids had a hard time understanding her at first, it definitely took its toll.
She would always wear her hair down to cover the cochlear implant, she worked really, really hard in speech therapy to try to get her voice to sound like everyone else’s, when she was older, she would force herself to stay in loud environments like birthday parties and the like even though those loud noises often triggered migraines
It wasn’t until she went to college and really worked on her self love that she fully came to accept and feel confident with her differences. She finally started wearing her hair up, she would happily reference her deafness and talk about her cochlear implant, she really began to feel like her disability was also her super power and it empowered the shit out of her
Shortly after her freshman year, she met her future husband. The two fell hard and fast for each other. She felt like he was her perfect match in so many ways. By their senior year, the two had moved in together. When they graduated, they quickly got married and moved for his career. Though a lot of people warned Val against giving up her dreams for her own career and her life for a guy, even if he was her husband, she never thought of it that way. To her, her husband was her dream, and being there to be able to support him was incredibly important.
During this time, Valentina discovered and nurtured her passion for yoga. She started an instagram page to document her journey and pretty quickly grew her following to where she began to get brand sponsorship deals
Things were going so well for both Val and her husbandl, until they weren’t.
The better he did at his job, the worse off their marriage became. While at the start, Val could understand and completely empathize with how much time he needed to dedicate to his work, one too many work trips and late nights at the office, meant less and less quality time with each other which started chipping away at Val’s confidence in their marriage.
Eventually, despite the distance growing between them, Val had a pregnancy scare. It wasn’t until that moment when being pregnant all of a sudden could be a reality that Val realized how much she wanted to be a mother. So when they found out that she wasn’t pregnant after all, but that the stress from their relationship had caused her period to get out of whack, Val was surprised at how devastated she felt.
After that, they tried again and again, but never could become pregnant. And the distance between them only continued to grow. Val thought that her husband resented her for the lack of success with getting pregnant and carried that guilt far more than she should have.
Eventually, when her husband had been gone far longer than he had originally communicated, Val called him and a female voice answered the phone. This was the straw the broke the camel’s back. She couldn’t believe that after everything they had built together, he would just throw it all away.
She immediately packed her bags and went back home to Michigan. The divorce was surprisingly easy, proving in Val’s mind that her husband really didn’t care that much. And within such a short amount of time, the last seven years of her life were erased as if they hadn’t existed
Slowly, Val built her life back up again. Her career as a content creator was really taking off.
Six years ago, Val moved to Briar Ridge to support her college best friend who was newly pregnant and newly single. The move was a welcome change for her and she’s loved the life she’s built for herself here, and even hopes to open up her own yoga studio soon
