Whumpee who catches the flu from caretaker who went to the Dr and got meds but didn't think abt whumpee catching it since they sleep in different rooms

Hello, Anon. I'm not normally a big sickfic writer, but I will give this a shot.

Warnings: flu, illness, fever

Caretaker sipped on the mug of tea. Today was the third day since they went to the doctor. The medicine had taken effect and they were finally starting to feel like a human being again. The flu they had gotten had been terrible. They had isolated themself from Whumpee at the onset of their symptoms, so as to spare Whumpee the illness. Whumpee always got so much sicker than anyone else.

They were no longer contagious. The doctor had said after three days of meds, Caretaker could be around others. Caretaker wanted to be with Whumpee. Perhaps not sleeping in the same bed again yet, they didn't want their coughing to keep Whumpee awake at night. But at least they could sit with Whumpee again.

Caretaker knocked on the spare bedroom door. Whumpee had gone to sleep in the spare bedroom, leaving Caretaker their bed. They had dutifully dropped soup and tea outside Caretaker's door around the clock. Had texted to check on them. Caretaker had wanted to sit with them. To be with them. And now they could.

"Don't come in," Whumpee's hoarse voice came. "I don't know what I have, but I don't want you to get it."

Caretaker's heart sunk. "Is your throat on fire and you feel like you've been hit by a bus?"

"And I can't get a good breath through my nose. I'm so congested." Whumpee sniffled loudly. "I don't want you to get sick."

Caretaker opened the door and frowned. "I'm sorry, Whumpee. I think I gave this flu to you."

hey guys, you’ve probably noticed my lack of posting in the last couple of days/week, i’ve had the flu and it’s just been difficult to put effort into about anything. sorry

imagine roman getting the flu pretty badly so he tries hiding it. moans from pain mixed with his stomach making terrible noises gave it away though. he tried sneaking off to go fight some battles but logan stopped him because he's pale and dry heaving (he didn't know logan was there) and forced him to sit down and maybe put off the fight for another day.

Aw. I love Logan trying to look out for the others, this is so sweet.

hey guys uhm... could i get a hug or two? at the doctor and i might have flu b. just got swabbed for it (very uncomfortable if you don't like things in your nose). :(

holy fuck this flu is violent. im never going to survive. why. first a fever that literally wont go away. now every time I cough my lungs not only crackle but I feel like im gonna throw up??? yikes. been nauseous as all hell for like 3 days. also my nose smells like burning plastic because of a sinus infection which is just lovely dontcha know

yes ive been to the ER dw they gave me two bags of fluids and some kinda painkillers cuz I felt like my joints were actively on fire and being broken apart with hammers. this is agonizing.
