I don't think that the show succeeded at all if that was the goal. If anything, making the unconfirmed pre-transition trans woman an abusive misogynistic queerphobe who might've killed her mom who fantasizes about sexually coercing one of her victims before her off screen suicide is....did we watch the same finale? Others, especially Pomni, did reach out, only for Jax to isolate and push them to the brink (past the brink for Ribbit,) so I don't think that portrays Jax as someone safe to build community with. And outside of the circus with years for potential self discovery do we see Jax's human counterpart transition? If that's ultimately what would make her happy, this story had two terrible endings for her.

I'm actually worried that this finale and the controversy surrounding it's a potential optical nightmare for white trans women. Abigail Thorn walked the red carpet of the premiere of this shitshow AFTER people know about the tweets and Jax's VA voicing Goku in a Goku×Anne Frank animation? After the racism of Gooseworx and multiple cast members on stream was barely addressed sloppily? I get that she's a busy woman who doesn't have time to be terminally online so I'm hoping she didn't know, but it's not a good look, sadly.

Time will only tell and it seems like people are all too happy to ignore racism, misogyny, antisemitism, and everything else (I don't have the energy toget into Gooseworx's Shadman tweet and inappropriate interactions with an underage fan but someone really ought to,) so hopefully this isn't going to lead to a huge fracture in intersectional advocacy efforts in such a crucial time, but I'm definitely scared it will.

Why are "tmes" a part of your untagged sexual fanfiction at all

Why are "tmes" specifically painted as a villainous force to be saved from in your untagged sexual fanfiction?

Why does this untagged sexual fanfiction seemingly rob the pre-transition "girl"(fingers crossed woman) of any agency and ability to advocate for her own needs and desires, needing to be saved by an outside force from the wicked "tme" like some damsel in distress? Maybe if one were to tag a kink for context it would come across less like objectification/infantilization/dehumanization of the "girl"(I am praying she's a grown woman) being supposedly advocated for in this?

Communication could save her, even if she has to hide certain details in order to get somewhere safe and simply tells this dastardly "tme" that she isn't satisfied with how things are going and wants something different out of life. Classic "it's not you it's me" type spiel.

This "tme" can spell transmisogyny, but trfs redefine the word for convenience at the severe detriment of those facing genuine discrimination. For example, it's a lot harder to take tumblr's transmisogyny seriously when the examples given are blogs blatantly violating TOS getting banned when there are blogs banned for no reason that could be pointed to instead rather than arguing that cis blogs are able to stay up despite violating TOS without examples to verify that said account(s) has/have been allowed to remain despite violations rather than being a remake from (a) persistent rulebreaker(s) or even (a) bot(s)

Discrimination is occurring and it's hard to demonstrate that and get anyone to give a fuck when people are bemoaning the loss of littlesissniffer and daughteryiff rather than someone who follows TOS and is banned solely on the basis of identity.

I agree that loser financially supporting that TERF sucks ass. Calling for the death of everyone you consider "TME" is not a reasonable response to this. Every minority group has some people who suck in it because we're human beings. The actions of those few who do suck is no reason to generalize or hate that group. Those who need to learn this won't ever listen though so why do I bother explaining?
