I hate going through an identity crisis and trying to understand what and/or who I truly am after people constantly tell me, “well, you’re biologically a woman, so…” It confuses me so heavily and just makes me want to give up on trying to argue about what I am or who I am when everyone seems to always want to tell me I can’t be.
I literally feel like giving up. I am so tired. I'm trying to be strong, to see the bright side, but I know it's just fake. I put on a mask and smile and try to exist, but it's getting harder and harder to fake being fine, to hold it all together so we don't break completely, but now I just want to break. But if I did, if I let out the things we've been trying to hold back, then people would really start to hate us. Pretending to be someone we're not is tiring. Comparisons are killing us slowly. We've been compared to so many people, to the good and the bad, and it feels like we have to try HARDER every time because if we even let out a sliver of an emotion that isn't somewhat fine, then people just start to look at us like we're freaks, like we're a monster, all because we snapped, all because we couldn't hold it in any longer, and I am just so... tired. I wanna peel off the pieces of our skin, to close our eyes and never get up. It sounds a lot more peaceful than whatever this life is supposed to be. It feels like we're going nowhere, and I am just so done.
