@official-haru-omi CONTINUED.
Azula stirred slightly when she felt Haru’s hand in her hair. Her eyes opened slowly, and she looked up into their eyes. What were they doing out of bed? A quick glance to the window was enough to tell Azula it was far too early to be getting up.
She looked back to Haru then, confusion written across her face. The Princess sat up.
“Haru?” she questioned, keeping her voice soft. “What’s going on? Why are you up?”
Her mind began to jump to the worst conclusions, as it often did these days. It wasn’t that she was paranoid, necessarily, but... after everything she had been through in her relatively short life? She was far more cautious than anyone else her age, she imagined.
“Have they found us?” she ended up asking. “Do we need to go?”
Her mind wanted to suggest that they’d been found, and Haru was turning her over. It was as if she was holding her breath, waiting on the next betrayal. And as much as she wanted to push the thought from her mind, she found she wasn’t quite able to.
“You aren’t giving me to them, are you?”
