       In his room, the crown prince sat on his bed. Bony fingers clawed through silver locks as he struggled to breathe. It felt like there was CHAOS happening around him, like he was trapped inside of a box and he couldn’t get out.  He was panicking, as the darkness inside of him started to crawl inside of him like a spider. 

      Knees were tugged CLOSE to his chest, eyes stayed wide. He could see it, the darkness s u f f o c a t i n g him and causing the walls around him to close in on him little by little.  

     ‘You know you’re better off alone, Riku . . .’ The voice in his head hissed, forming a dark, shadow-like figure that waltzed slowly around his room. ‘You’re just here until they decided you’re nothing.  . . Who am I kidding . . .  He already has.’

     “St-Stop . . . Stop it!” He pleaded as tears lined their away along with his eyes.  His fingers twisted in his hair tighter while he kept his eyes locked straight on the wall that was becoming darker by the second.  He couldn’t escape this, he could NEVER escape the very things that tried to tear him apart every single day of his life. He normally could hide it, swallow it until he couldn’t feel it but tonight. . . 

     He was DROWNING. 

      ‘Terra knows it too. . .’

     “N-No . . . Terra woudln’t-  . . .  He couldn’t do-!” Trembling hands fell from his hair so that he could look at them. Riku watched them in silence as the memories of him, his friends, and his time with Terra slipped through his fingers like sand. 

     ‘Couldn’t what . . .? Throw you aside. . . ? Sure he could. Sora did it . . . All of your friends. . . He’s next, then you’ll be all alone . . . Just like you DESERVE.’ The voice in his head laughs and Riku  . . . 

     “AAAH!!!!” Screams into the dark void of his room while trembling hands clutch the side of his head like a lifeline.

x. @darknessbled​​ gets a surprise they didn’t ask for as revenge <3

Riku walked into the kitchen that night , wanting to come have tea with Terra so that they could have  peaceful night together .  The water boiled as he grabbed the chamomile tea and a spoon , preparing the strainer in the teacup in order for their tea to be evenly shared amongst them .

It was quiet , that night . . . too quiet , for Riku's liking , but he tried not to let it get to him . He reached in the cabinet to get down the sugar then the two mugs . One for him and one for Terra . Clink . They softly hit the counter .

' Riku. . . . '

Suddenly , his bright , aquamarine eyes shoot up from the kettle of boiling water , looking around the room .

"-- You're . . . You're not real ."

'Aren't I ? '

His hands twist around the handle of the kettle , shaking from his tightened grip . His eyes settle on a darkened corner as blackness surrounds him and encloses in on him . A flash of silver out of the corner of his eye , and then --

"-- Who goes there ?"

... Only silence followed . He blinked twice , trying to clear his vision from around him . He was looking at their living room , couch and all as the moonlight drifted through the curtains .

"T-Terra . . .?" 

‘Riku ? ’

Riku’s world started to spin while he desperately tried to focus on pouring the tea into the mug  . One scoop of sugar . Wait -- no . Terra didn’t like sugar in his tea . Terra preferred bitter and less sweet . 

That could be his tea now , right ? It was already in the cup , so it was too late to serve that to Terra . 

Down into the cup the hot water went over the strainer of tea leaves , creating a wall of steam in front of Riku’s eyes . 

‘Riku . . .’

“You’re . . . Not real . . .”

He heard the sound of footsteps , and all of his actions frozen . 

‘Riku.‘

Again , he heard his name . The voice was one from a memory that never stopped haunting him -- twisting around his heart and strangling it until he could no longer breathe .  His hands trembled along the hot kettle , as he he continued to pour the boiling water . 

‘Riku ?’

“T-Terra . . .” Aquamarine eyes flickered beyond the rim of the mug , to the sight of boots that he had seen step on him time and time again . His breath hitched in his throat , his hands now holding the cup in close to his chest like that little cup of warmth was a lifeline . 

“T-Terra. . .. ?”

‘Riku .‘

“ T-Terra ? ”

Footsteps grew louder as as someone rounded the corner . Terra . No - Ansem  No . . .

Riku’s hands trembled , the water rocking within the cup so violently it was like a boat in a storm . In absolute horror , the young Prince of Darkness watched as the vision of Terra shifted before his eyes between someone Riku found absolute comfort in and someone Riku found absolute terror in . His eyes remained as wide as dinner plates as tears lined beneath his darkened eyelashes . 

‘Riku ? It’s- ’ Ansem’s voice spoke as a hand outstretched towards him . 

‘-Me . I’m here . ‘ Terra’s voice finished .  

With a CRASH , the cup in Riku’s hands came down to the ground and shattered , burning his bare feet and bottom of his pajama pants in scalding hot water .

Went to therapy today and turns out I have auditory pseudo hallucinations. As if I wasn’t fucked up enough as it is.

In His Dreams || Closed Para

Good morning, beautiful... A soft voice echoed across his subconscious. His eyes fluttered slightly as he felt fingers pushing back loose strands of hair. “Chase?” he asked slowly opening his eyes. He frowned deeply as he found that his bed was again empty. He reached over, his hand dancing across the silk that did not hold a body. “Baby...” He whined, turning to lay on his back. It was getting harder and harder for him to even bother getting out of bed. If it weren’t for the sleeping pills, he would get no sleep. And Xanthe was the only reason he was taking care of himself. It would take very little for him to just give in. The added stress didn’t allow his medicine to work properly so the voices were back in his head. He left you. He’s dead. He’s never coming back. Gulping he leaned over to grab for the bottle. He popped back two more pills before laying back. At least in his dreams, Chase was still there.

Tfw you're just tryna get some sleep, but you keep having hallucinations, so you can't sleep because everything's keeps getting bigger and brighter and sharper

‘The ceiling is on fire.’ Vex notes, gaze turned towards the faintly glowing embers hanging down from above, like some strange new age light fixture. He glances around to see if it had caught the attention of any one else but his fellow party goers seem blissfully unaware of the fire above their heads. They greet each other as they normally would, with smiles on their faces and quickly dwindling drinks in their hands. His eyes are drawn back to the flame.

‘Must not be real’ he decides with relief, not the first time he’s seen something that turned out to be a hallucination. Its an incredibly well behaved flame, like a small cartoon campfire that only wants to help you roast your marshmallows and hot dogs. It would be cute if it wasn’t so unnerving. He can smell the ash in the air and feel the heat tickle the tip of his nose. It seems so real, but even if everyone else in the room were just ignoring the dangers of having the ceiling on fire he’s never known a flame that burned downward toward the ground.

‘Why do fires burn reaching to the sky?’ he wonders, moving away from the entryway so more guests can flood in. Does it have something do with gravity? Or perhaps the way air floats? Hed never thought to question the mundane behavior patterns of fires until faced with one that defied just that. He stops at the empty couch just under the fire and pulls out his phone to google his questions.

“Hey Vex.” his search to satisfy his curiosity is interrupted by a familiar greeting. He looks up from his phone, and then up some more to see the smiling face of his very tall friend Anne Marrie. “The couch is open, want to sit with me a bit?” she asks. She noticed him spacing out and had come to check on him. He nods and returns her sweet smile, watching as her head passes right through the tips of the flame, but her hair doesn’t even singe. It dances around the spiky ends as if it were made of tiny glowing fairies rather than combustion. It’s not really made of anything though, he reminds himself, and tears his gaze away from the captivating construct of his imagination once more.

“Where’s Jamie?” he asks, esting down into the couch. This seat will now be his temporary hoe for as long as the party lasts, as he waits for all the drunks to either be carted home or pass out on the bathroom floor.

“The birthday boy? Taking shots in the Kitchen with Ace probably.” she says with a grin, but her eyes are weary. This sort of thing isn’t her scene either. Anne flourishes in the sunshine, surrounded by the smell of earth and freshly cut grass. The yellow overhead light makes her eyes sting and the smell of booze reminds her solely of vomit. But she loves her husband,and if he wants to pretend he’s a college kid again on his 27th birthday she wouldn’t deny him.

hi, it's marius again. i spoke to ellen last time, but if you don't mind, could i please just talk to sam? just this once? thank you! my hallucinations have been getting worse, and it's HORRIBLE. mostly it's monsters, but spiders are also very frequent. my friends are always like "oh just touch it to see if it's real" bitch are you for real i'm not picking up a brown recluse. but it's absolutely terrifying, because i feel so vulnerable. everything is scary and freaky now. can i have some love?

Hey Marius, it’s Sam.

I get hallucinations sometimes but it’s just when I don’t sleep much or I’m exhausted. Yours does sound like it’s taking its toll on you. I know you probably don’t want to hear this, but you should talk to your doctor. There can be a lot of causes for hallucinations and your doctor would be able to rule out a lot of them.
