I finished The Wolf Among Us last night and here are my hot takes, spoilers included probably
-Gren is hot
-Do NOT like Snow. I did at first and then she started talking about the Farm.
-Glamours should be free and the witches should be paid by the local gov via taxes, nothing required by law should cost money and it isn't a "choice" when the other option is basically an internment camp
-I loved Beauty and Beast until we saw their apartment and immediately was like "are you fucking kidding me " like be fucking fr right now "used to a certain standard of living " can you please grow up
-Crane should be dead tbh he's a whole sex offender at this point. I'm sure he's alive because of what's coming in the next game but that would've been so satisfying to kill him
-Matter of fact, Bigby should've been allowed to kill ppl. Like. The way I had him kill the Crooked Man and everyone got pissed??? Like hello??? This serial killer is gone and now everyone's mad at ME??? This is why Holly and Gren immediately became my favorites because they're bitchy but they backed me up
-I wish the Woodsman wasn't a woman beater because I would've actually really liked his character aside from that and the game introduced him like that and then spent the rest of it trying to get you to empathize?
-Snow sending Toad and his kid to the Farm got me fucked up fr like I literally said I would pay for his glamour? Why couldn't I just pay it with my own money? I stole from every person that was steal-from-able... Plus he was kinda integral to the investigation even if it took a lot. I squished his goddamn car.
-I'm glad I got to kill Bloody Mary but I feel like she was introduced as this BIG DEAL and then was only in three scenes and was a surprisingly easy fight?
Anyway, loved the game I hope the next part comes out before the world ends
Seeing you specifically ask for TWAU themed stuff makes me ❤💕. Can we see how the various fable characters in the game tease and poke fun at Bigby's obvious fondness of Snow while she remains oblivious and doesn't seem to understand what people are saying? But then towards the end turns out duh she totally knew what it was all about and surprises Bigby with her own smugness and teasing about it (could be a small flirty comment, kiss on the cheek, etc.) Thank you!!
AHHHH I LOVE THIS SO MUUUUUCH and yesssss I love writing for twau ❤️
“Bigby, got a minute?”
As always, Beast was catching him in the elevator.
Making his way upstairs.
“No.” He said lowly.
Tugging the cigarette out from between his lips.
Planting his hand on the elevator door to keep it from closing.
“I’m off to a meeting with Snow.”
Beast paused.
Then smirked.
Then crossed his arms.
“I see.” He said. “Have fun then.”
Bigby blinked.
And furrowed his brows.
And removed his hand from in front of the door.
Maybe everyone in Fabletown was losing their minds.
The meeting went smoothly.
Running over current cases and what takes priority.
“Want to do lunch?”
Bigby smiled warmly.
The one he reserved just for her.
“Sure.”
On their way down the street, he lit another cigarette.
Snow scrunched her nose.
“Hey, at least I didn’t do it in your office.”
Snow softened. “And I appreciate that.”
Bigby chuckled lowly and returned to his smoke.
Wandering down the street, they ran into Toad and TJ.
And Snow smiled warmly.
“It’s good to see you both.”
Toad didn’t pay her much mind.
But TJ did.
“Where are you two off to?” Toad snarled.
More so Bigby’s way than Snow’s.
“Off to ruin more lives?”
Bigby glared.
And Snow frowned.
But continued chatting with TJ about new additions to his collections.
“We’re out for lunch.”
Toad raised a brow.
Then they came crashing down.
“Of course you are.”
While his bitterness was beginning to wane, it was slow going.
He was getting a little nicer every time they spoke.
But Bigby didn’t know how to take that comment in particular.
So he stuffed his cigarette back between his lips.
Eventually, they started away.
Snow stiff and alarmed.
Bigby placing a hand on her back to shoo her away.
Snow only sighed.
“Ignore him.”
“Believe me, I try.” Snow said.
Her fingers pressed to her nose.
“I just hate knowing he’s angry because of a valid injustice.”
They spotted familiar people at lunch.
After all, Fabletown wasn’t large by any means.
And Bigby kept catching their stares.
Their strange stares.
They would smirk and look away.
Whisper to each other.
Snicker and scurry on.
But Bigby couldn’t figure out why.
They ran into Beauty and Beast on the way back.
Her arms wrapped through one of Beast’s.
She smiled warmly.
“Hi you two.”
Snow waved.
Beast smirked Bigby’s way.
But he didn’t react.
Popping a fresh cigarette between his lips.
“Out for lunch?”
Bigby lit his cigarette.
Snow gave a meek smile. “It was a bit of a break.”
Beauty smiled wider. “That sounds nice.”
Snow shifted under her stare.
Knowing what lingered beneath it.
“Well, we need to get back to the office.”
Beauty waved. “Have a nice afternoon you two.”
With Beast patting Bigby’s arm with his free hand on the way past.
Bigby scrunched his nose the entire walk home.
Snuffing out his cigarette before they started back into the office building.
Biting his tongue until the moment they slipped back into Snow’s office.
“What the hell are people on about today?”
Snow leaned against the back of her desk.
“What do you mean?” She asked.
Stretching out her shoulders as she leaned back.
Bigby scrunched his nose. “You must have noticed it.”
Snow raised a brow.
And Bigby shut the door behind him.
“The stares. The comments.” His face relaxed. “I don’t get it.”
Snow blinked.
And stood upright.
And folded her fingers together.
“I did notice.” She said softly.
Bigby blinked.
And crossed his arms.
He knew that look.
That stance.
She was hiding something.
Rather, she was confessing something.
“And I know why.” She finally said.
And Bigby raised a brow.
Impatient and concerned rather than hesitant.
Snow shrugged.
Letting his hands fall to her sides.
“It’s because people know you’re..”
She hesitated.
Her stare dead on him.
“Interested in me.”
Bigby’s eyes widened.
Although it was the only change in his stance.
Finally, Snow broke a smirk. “You’re not denying it?”
Bigby was silent.
Glancing away.
Snow smiled sweetly.
Wandering behind her desk.
And riffling through paperwork there.
“Well, I need to go make some copies.” She said.
Drawing closer.
Settling a hand on Bigby’s shoulder.
“See you when I get back, lover boy.” She hushed into his ear.
Bigby glared.
Turning to watch her leave the room.
“I’m gonna smoke in here if you keep talking like that.”
