I recall Edward talking about Siobhan’s -ahem- womanly shape in Midnight Sun. Is that not him displaying an interest/attraction towards women? I think that’s why some people could infer him as bi rather than gay. Although personally, he reads as demisexual to me.
He does notice that and people are free to think what they like but for all he noticed it felt very... she was so womanly he couldn't help noticing but wasn't very interested. Nor interested in any woman looking thing ever showing him a hint of attraction (see Jessica, Tanya, the very idea of Rosalie ever showing interest in him even if it didn't happen).
It's an opinion and like all opinions on this blog I have my reasons for thinking it but by no means is anyone ever obligated to agree

I was wondering if I could make a Carlisle Cullen request!! You had managed to get lost deep in the woods Carlisle had gone hunting and smelled a strange scent that is usually not there. He finds where you were and helps you get home safely! - @lillybearblog 💜
Sitting on the fallen tree, you sighed to yourself as you ran a hand through your hair.
“I must have taken the wrong trail…” you mumbled.
Pulling the map from the pocket of your jacket, you opened it and looked at the line you had marked.
That was the line you were following, but now you weren’t sure where you were. You had no clue where you went wrong, this area didn’t look like any area on your map.
Looking around, you tried to find anything that would give you an idea of what direction to head in, but you couldn’t find anything.
Sighing, you stood up and started to turn in random directions.
Carlisle was carefully walking through the woods, trying to find an unlikely animal to help curve his hunger.
That’s when he noticed it, a scent that he’s never smelt in the woods around this area.
It was definitely a human scent, and he got concerned and ran in the direction it was coming from, worried about the humans safety.
When he got close enough, he slowed down and slowly walked around some trees to find you spinning around aimlessly.
He watched you for a few moments, trying to figure out where you were going, and that’s when he saw the map in your hands.
“Excuse me?” He called over.
“What the fuck?!” You screamed.
You turned around to face him, absolute fear and worry in your eyes as you slowly walked backwards.
“Wait! I’m not here to hurt you! I was just hiking and I saw you looked a bit lost, are you alright?”
You frowned a little bit.
He didn’t know this man, he didn’t know why he was there but as much as it was dangerous, you didn’t know what he’d do, but for all you knew he was your only chance of managing to find your way back home.
With a heavy sigh, you stuffed the map into your jacket pocket and picked up your bag.
“I’m trying to find my way back to the road.” You mumbled.
He smiled and nodded his head.
“I can take you to the main trail if that’s okay by you?”
You frowned a little and nodded your head.
“Fine, but you keep your distance.”
“Of course.”
He walked ahead and you stayed a few feet behind him.
“Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. Carlisle Cullen.”
“Oh, you’re the doctor, right?”
“You know me?”
Your nodded your head and gave him a little smile.
“Yeah, you helped me a month ago, sorry I didn’t recognise you. I’m (Y/N).”
“I apologise for scaring you (Y/N), but I’m glad to see you’re doing better.”
You guys held light conversation as you walked, and you grew more comfortable with him taking you back to the trial.
Once you did, he pointed down the hill.
“It’s down that way.” He smiled.
You looked at him and gave him a sheepish smile.
“Do you mind taking me, I’m scared I’m going to get lost again.”
“Of course I can.” He laughed.
You guys carried on talking as he took you down to the parking lot and you stood by your car.
Putting your bag in, you turned to Carlisle and offered him a bright smile.
“Thank you so much Carlisle, I think that’s the last time I go hiking.” You laughed.
“Don’t say that, it’s good for you.”
“Yeah, but getting lost sucks. And next time you might not be there.”
“Just have faith, you’ll find the way next time.”
You hummed and slowly nodded your head as you gave him another final smile.
“Well, thanks Carlisle, maybe see you around.”
With that, he watched you drive away and slowly walked himself back on to the trail.
Now he knew you scent, he was going to be keeping an eye out for you in the woods, and whenever you were hiking he was going to leave little hints for you to find the way.
He didn’t want you getting lost again and possibly hurt
