Sam’s Twin!Reader (gender unspecified)
A/N: this came from nowhere but I haven’t written any actual spn fics in a long time so I’m back with a little drabble
“Hey, Sammy?” you called from the hallway. “Are you busy?”
Sam sighed, closing the book he’d only just opened in order to give you his full attention.
“No, just reading,” he called back as you entered the room. “What’s up?”
You bit your lip as you took a seat, pulling your knees up under your chin.
“Can I ask a question?” you murmured, picking at the hem of your jeans.
He nodded, waiting for you to continue.
“Apparently, a twin is less likely to have long lasting relationships or get married than a non-twin,” you stated, and he laughed softly.
“That’s not a question,” he reminded you, and you sighed.
“I know, I know, I just-” you shook your head. “Neither of us have had long lasting relationships, apart from college but that doesn’t count.”
Sam uncrossed his legs, leaning forward and resting his forearms on his thighs.
“Where are you going with this?” he questioned, and you shrugged.
“I was watching a Buzzfeed video-”
“Y/N…” he warned, and you nodded.
“I know, I know. It was with identical twins, but some of them were saying they probably wouldn’t get married, because they already had a built-in soulmate.”
A small smile pulled at his lips as he shook his head, hair falling into his eyes.
“That’s cute,” he teased, and you rolled your eyes.
“I just mean, do you think the reason nothing’s ever worked out for us is because we’re twins?”
Sam was watching you carefully, and you deliberately avoided his gaze.
You rarely spoke about relationships and, although he’d seen you at your weakest, you never wanted him to see your vulnerability.
You were his younger sibling. Admittedly not by much, but you always felt the need to prove your strength to him.
“I think…” he paused, pulling in a breath for it to leave in a sigh. “I think that might be a part of it. We already have something that a lot of people would look for in romantic relationships. Like, the companionship.”
You nodded, knowing that was the answer before he said it.
Dean entered the library, frowning when he saw your closed-off body language.
“Uh… what?” he asked, and you shook your head.
“It’s a twin thing,” you murmured, your go-to response when you didn’t want to explain something to your eldest brother.
Unsurprisingly, Dean looked to Sam to clear it up.
“Y/N thinks that the reason neither of us are married is because we’re twins,” he explained, and Dean frowned. “Built-in platonic soulmates or something.”
Dean looked at you, his gaze softer.
“Kiddo, that’s-” he sighed. “Look, that might be something to do with it. But I think a whole big part of it is the fact that we’re hunters.”
You looked up at him, raising an eyebrow.
“Do you see me with a wife, two kids, and a dog right now?” he reiterated, and you shook your head. “And I don’t have a twin, either. We’re just not the kid of people that settle down.”
You smiled slightly, relieved that there was another reason for your predicament.
You loved Sam, you loved having a twin, but you had always wondered if maybe it was having him around that was scaring people off - stopping you from finding someone.
“Besides, having siblings as soulmates isn’t so bad,” Dean told you, ruffling your hair as he sat next to you. “It means heaven won’t be boring because we’ll have each other to aggravate.”
“Yeah, I guess so,” you smiled, and Sam rolled his eyes.
“Are we done with the self doubt?” he asked, and you nodded. “Good. But if you ever wanted to get out of this life, leave me behind, find someone to settle down with… that’s okay.”
“No,” you said firmly, smiling at your brother. “We tried getting away from the life and each other by going to different colleges. I think an eternity with my brothers is better than the fiery death of another pair of love interests.”
Sam tutted, getting to his feet.
“Too soon?” Dean teased, and Sam sighed, walking over to you and kissing the top of your head.
“It’s been ten years,” you murmured, and he nodded.
“I know, buddy,” he assured you. “We’re good, yeah? You’re not resenting me too much?”
“I could never resent you,” you promised, standing up to hug him.
Dean rolled his eyes, getting to his feet so he could go and grab you all a much needed beer.
“Twins,” he murmured as you and Sam went from hugging to bickering in 3 seconds flat.
Harry and Luke probably bumped heads at times. Harry's such a liberal, that there were probably heated discussions on certain subjects, probably having to do with guns or pot or why he'd be president of the supernatural world's PETA if it existed. But then they'd agree to disagree and be joking again 5 minutes later. And Harry had so much love and respect for him and what he does and the sacrifices he's made. He was also the first to stand up and applaud at his commissioning.
If you had the chance to change your fate, would you? Okay so it's a quote from a cartoon, but it's Pixar so it still counts. And Harry really needed to change his fate. After the debacle with JT and a nice long talk with Ed, Harry realized what he needed to do. He was going to have to have a nice long talk with his son. That he'd just met. Awesome. He called Dee who thankfully picked up. "Hey babe, it's me.....ya I know crazy day.....yes lots of alcohol when this is over.... Um, so can you meet where the kids are?.... Well, something was brought to my attention that I think needs to be addressed...." He let out a sigh. "Well, it seems that JT loves Leia, and I haven't spoken to her, but she seems to like him too, but Luke is very against it, which makes me think future us is against it, and I dunno how I feel about that. What do you think?"
(harry's having a quarter life crisis because his grown twins with dee, named Luke and Leia, have come back from the future. so if other replies don't get done, that's why.)
