He’d promised Edna and he’d failed. What he regrets isn’t so much their final course of action –it had to be done, it had been the only salvation they could find– but he regretted that they hadn’t tried harder to find another way. All that time on the journey, with so much to think about the topic rarely, if ever, came up. Part of him had hoped that they’d just come across the answer somewhere, but had never put in the effort to actively seek it.

His promise to Edna deserved more than he gave.

( I’m just going to add that this is a very bitter point for me as a mun, because really, this discussion on how to save Eizen never really even gets brought up. Just one skit, one skit, where they tried, even if they fail. Is that too much to ask for? I feel like Sorey should have taken his promise a lot more seriously than he did.

And when you go to Rayfalke to kill Eizen–

Rose: Sorey, why are we here?Edna: What are you after?

The fact that they ask this means that Sorey did not inform them beforehand, did not open up the discussion to the party. He remained cryptic and took them to the mountain, already determined to kill Eizen. Why the secrecy? I just feel like this is a decision he would have laid out to everyone, especially Edna and Zaveid. )

38: What recharges them when they’re feeling drained?

Sleep. Like seriously, if this kid is tired physically or mentally, he’ll crash for a day straight no problem. Nearly killed the Cardinal, and still had to watch Rose bloody her hands? Sleep the day away. Party member dies? Have a really crappy night and still oversleep by hours. Fought and killed a dragon? Find the nearest bed and pass out for 3 days straight.

 The Shepherd stays true to himself. He isn’t shy regarding his affection to the others,  especially not to the wind seraph. Hence he steps closer to the adult, & thanks to his  heels he manages to raise himself to Zaveid’s cheeks, a soft kiss pecking the tanned  skin. & before considering the thought of retreating himself, his gloved hand holds the  spirit’s one & slowly, the human lays his thin lips once again upon the knuckles.

we’ll be black stuff buddies! i’m not much of a baker { or much of a cook } myself. although i’d love to learn how to make blueberry lemon scones one day. sounds like the stuff of legends.
