i know you don't do romantic readings, but would it be against your rules to give me a reading about what you see in my future, romantically? i've been feeling so thrown around in my love life lately and recently got myself out of a shitty situation with someone. basically i'm just looking for any guidance about what i have to look forward to after i've spent some time with myself and have let go of all the angst from this.
This is one of those romantic questions that I can definitely help answer.
Your cards are the page of coins, Judgement, and the ace of wands.
The art for the page is a small, green sprout just emerging from dark soil in a terra cotta pot. The page is about opportunities -- opportunities that come in a much more standard, traditional framework than maybe we’re initially attracted to. Someone in your future is going to look safe, standard, and from what I’m getting, like someone you’d normally pass by, looking for excitement. Know that excitement isn’t always in front of your eyes -- sometimes it’s in the waiting, the growing process, or the bloom that comes from that small sprout in a pot. The page may look traditional, but tradition moves, grows, and changes in the ways that you help it to. Don’t pass this person by because they’re not vibrant at first blush.
Judgement is a card of crossroads. It’s one of the last cards in the major arcana, and when it appears, you have the chance to start the cycle of successes and failures, choices and consequences, all over again. Or to not. Judgement isn’t a warning of trouble or bad choices so much as a reminder to take into account where you’ve been and what you’ve learned. Look back on your past relationships. Really consider if the way things have turned out there is the way you want things to turn out again, and if it’s not, make a choice that’s markedly different. Will it lead you down the right path? Who knows -- and who knows if there is a right path anyway. But it will lead you somewhere different, and sometimes different is what’s needed, right, wrong, or otherwise.
The ace of wands is a wildfire. It’s bright, single-minded, creative, passionate. There’s going to be a new relationship -- probably sexual, first, and imperfect, underdeveloped, messy even. It will be the only thing you can think about for a while. Don’t let yourself burn out and discard it. Take the time to let it sit with you, ride the energy and chemistry -- and understand that it may take more building and work than other relationships have in the past, but that it’s worth it. It’s an opportunity for you to learn about yourself and the other person and who you are together. Fires take nurturing to stay lit, just like plants take nurturing to survive. Don’t give up too soon. Don’t let anyone else threaten what you’re trying to build either.
I did a fourth card draw, out of curiosity. It’s the Magician. The Magician is a signifier for me in this deck. What I mean by that is it’s got a deep personal meaning for me, and I sit up and take notice when it comes around.
Someone’s coming, to you and for you. In a positive way (not the ominous way it sounds like). They’re going to feel familiar. They’re going to feel like home. They’re going to feel like they came out of nowhere, and like they’ll shape you into a different person, if you let them in. It’s going to freak you out.
Don’t freak out so much that you run. This is a bond worth the worry, the concern, and the fear. The Magician is steady, knows themself, knows you. They’re going to -- understand, I guess. They’re going to get it. That’s the best way I know how to say this.
Wait, watch, feel, and be patient with yourself. Something good is coming, and you want to be whole for it.
