Meet your new Twitter Assistant
Many of you have been with us since the early TweetReach days, when we got our start as one of the first Twitter analytics tools. A lot has changed since then, including our expansion to other social channels and becoming Union Metrics, but one thing hasn’t – our commitment to providing the absolute best Twitter analytics for marketers.
Today marks a new step in that direction with two big announcements. We’ve launched a new free analytics tool and we’ve been named a Twitter Official Partner!

We’re thrilled to unveil our brand new free analytics tool – the Union Metrics Twitter Assistant. We’ve teamed up with Twitter to create a new tool that recommends Tweet strategies personalized just for you in one easy report. Try it now to learn:

The Twitter Assistant is free and takes less than two minutes. Run your Assistant now!
“The Union Metrics Twitter Assistant is helping improve our Twitter presence. The personalized recommendations are spot on, and I get new advice and insights every time I refresh it. It’s absolutely had a positive impact on how well our Tweets are performing.” - Robert Ollett, @habu_spaces
If you already have a Union Metrics account, you can run your Assistant here.
Union Metrics is now a Twitter Official Partner
We’re also excited to share that Union Metrics has joined the Twitter Official Partner Program, a small group of elite companies recognized by Twitter for exceptional products and proven success. That means we’ll be working closely with Twitter to develop new features to help you get the most from your social marketing.
Thank you so much for choosing Union Metrics. We’ve got lots more coming, for Twitter and beyond, so stay tuned. If you have any questions or want to talk more about what this means for you, please let us know.
New and improved Twitter analytics with actual impressions, likes, clicks
Owned media is at the core of every effective social media strategy. Your accounts should be the center of everything you do in social media, both paid and organic. But how much do you really know about how you’re doing? Are you getting the most from your social content? Are you confident that you’re reaching your target audience as effectively you could be?
We’re excited to announce the first in a series of updates we’re making to help you perfect your social media presence.
As of today, we’ve seriously upgraded the Union Metrics Twitter engagement reporting to include actual impressions, likes, clicks and other engagement metrics. Find out which tweets are driving the kinds of engagement you’re looking for. Learn exactly what works (and what doesn’t), so you can create more impactful content and better reach your audience.
Read on for more or log into your account now.
Even better, your social reporting is now even easier than before. With all your owned Twitter analytics in one place in Union Metrics (and alongside all your Instagram and Facebook analytics, as well as as your social listening and campaign monitoring), you’ll be able to produce the reporting you need for all of your stakeholders – bosses, clients, influencers, sponsors – in just a few clicks. No more jumping back and forth between tools. Save time on reporting that you can put to better use, like crafting new content and planning future campaigns.
And for the first time side-by-side, you can now see how your actual impressions compare to your potential impressions across your account. To fully understand how effective your content is, you need to know how your actual impressions compare to your potential impressions. How much of your potential audience are you actually reaching? It’s probably not as much as it could be, so use the insights you get from your Union Metrics account to see how you can improve.
This is just the first step in our efforts to make sure you’re getting the most from your owned media. There’s a lot more coming this summer.
Get started by checking in on your account Trackers. If you haven’t connected them with Twitter credentials, you can do that now to get this new reporting. If you haven’t set up Trackers for all your Twitter accounts, now’s the time!
And if you don’t have a Union Metrics account, there’s never been a better time to sign up. If you’d like to learn more, join us for a webinar on July 13. (Or join us for office hours TODAY at 2pm PT/4pm CT on Facebook Live!)
Sentiment analysis for Instagram & Twitter now available to everyone
Big news! Our brand new sentiment analysis is now publicly available in all Twitter and Instagram Trackers. Use sentiment reporting to understand more about how your audience feels about anything – your brand, your competitors, a campaign, a hashtag.
With sentiment analysis, you can:

Compare how an audience feels about your brand vs. your competitors
Identify potential issues early, before they develop into full-blown crises
Pinpoint key topics or posts driving sentiment up or down
Social Suite customers get the full sentiment analysis experience, including reporting on key posts and topics driving sentiment up or down, trends over time, intensity breakdown, and more. All other plans include a sentiment summary showing an overall sentiment score between 0 and 100, as well as a breakdown of positive, negative and neutral sentiment share. (Don’t have a Union Metrics account? Set up a demo to see the new sentiment reporting in action!)
There’s more information about our new sentiment reports on our helpdesk. And you can access the sentiment analysis in your Trackers now.

Previewing Super Bowl LI commercials across social media
The Big Game is coming up on Sunday, and whether you’re more invested in the actual sportsball or just the snacks, it’s always fun to see what the conversation is around the ads.
As usual, we’ll be keeping track of all the Super Bowl commercials and reporting back on how they’re marketed and received across social media.
There are already 28 confirmed advertisers, and several of those have released teasers for their ads. Interestingly, there don’t seem to be as many hashtags in these early teasers as we’ve seen in years past. We’ll keep an eye on that to see if it signifies a larger trend.
So far, the most talked about commercial is from Wix.com. It’s boosted by the social power of its celebrity stars – Gal Gadot and Jason Statham. Wix released the first teaser on January 17, along with a strong social media campaign, including posts from @GalGadot. This got her fans talking, and has contributed to a lot of the brand’s early social success. Other most-tweeted about brands so far are Skittles, Hyundai, TurboTax and Kia.
We’ll be keeping up with the latest Super Bowl LI commercials, how advertisers use social media to promote them, and how audiences react to them. Stay tuned right here for more!
