A Pleasant Mix-up
@two-ofcups
It was a rather pleasant day, Lyntel planning to make an more fanciful meal tonight, a just because celebration. They were currently stopped at the butcher, waiting for an order of meat. They were handed a bag of items, but when they look through it, they frown. It wasn’t what they ordered.
They move over to the woman they had seen order before them. “I’m sorry to bother you, but did you order these? I think I was handed your order.”

MEME ME UP, SCOTTY !! // 😂 accepting !
Asra had been enjoying a nice slice of chocolate cake, savoring the sweetness of the chocolate melting upon his tongue. It was a pure bliss. Gwen entered the kitchen, and he was about to offer her a nice slice of cake when she spoke up. He laughed, shaking his head.
“What are you talking about, it’s right here-“
The cake was gone. His plate was squeaky clean along with the fork, and once he looked at where the whole cake had been, it was no longer there either. His eyes looked back at Gwen. A single tear rolled down his cheek.
“How could you do this…?“

Standing within Mazelinka’s kitchen with a hand gently fiddling with the yellow flowers she had growing in the window, Julian furrowed his brows and sighed. Of course, the dragon’s breath was fine now with its petals now unfurled to greet the morning sun, but he still felt the burden of responsibility for having caused them harm in the first place. Then, at the sound of rustling behind him, the doctor straightened and turned, brows rising up in inquiry till his grey eyed gaze fell upon a much smaller redhead as she stepped out of the room and wandered through the living space, and his expression softened. Approaching her slowly, he smiled and spread his hands out as an invitation, offering her a warm embrace and a soft press of lips to the top of her head, which he had to dip down for. “Good morning, Gwen. I hope you slept alright, given the circumstances?” he asked, tones soft and quiet lest he disturb Mazelinka. Pulling away to look down at her with his hands resting over her shoulders, he examined her expression, gauging her expression to assess her level of rest.
He knew he was not one to judge on others’ sleeping habits when his own were atrocious-- though last night Julian had gotten plenty of rest; whether it was for the company at his bedside or the sheer weight of fatigue from the use of Asra’s curse to heal Gwen of the vampire eel’s bite he did not know for sure. If anything were a testament to the resiliency of his body, though, it was likely this fact-- though it certainly more often a burden than a blessing. It wouldn’t be a curse, otherwise, he supposed.
It had taken Gwen the better part of 2 hours, but as she shucked off her coat in the privacy of Lyn's room she decided it was worth the effort. She had tied her body up in purple silks, perfect ribbons twisting and accentuating every nook and curve of her body. "I thought you could use a present." Gwen breathed out stepping forward to take their hands and bring them to the bow at her neck, "Anything you want is yours, Zaika." (@two-ofcups <3)

Lyntel had been out gathering groceries, their arms full of bags when they step into their little house. They immediately pause when they realize the barriers they usually used on the door had been breached. Their eyes narrow, bringing a small amount of energy into the palms in case they needed to defend themself.
As soon as they push into their bedroom though, the energy fades. A soft flush covers their face at the sight of Gwen, wrapped so prettily up just for them. When Gwen moves their hands to the bow on their neck, they just lean in, pressing kisses to Gwen’s neck. “Anything?” they purr, just content with wrapping their arms around Gwen for the moment, feeling like the wrapping was too beautiful to undo right away.

The soft light of morning breaks through Gwen’s window, the tea Asra had brought her had done its work and lured her into a deep and thankfully dreamless sleep. The problem wasn’t always just falling asleep but the anxiety that gnawed at her heart of the nightmares that came with it.
Wrapping her crimson hair into a knot at the crown of her head her bare feed padded softly down the stairs to the main floor of their shared home finding Asra manning the shop as promised.
“Thank you,” she whispers as she embraces them gently from behind, freckled arms wrapping around their lithe form, as she presses her forehead into the space between their shoulders. “I desperately needed that.”
After a moment Gwen pulls away walking to face the fortune teller, golden eyes alight as a broad smile ghosts across her lips, “Would you like to close the shop for a little while, I was thinking perhaps we could make breakfast together?”
As promised, they had opened up the shop in time, even though they would have much preferred to sleep in themselves. However, Asra wasn’t one to back out of their word, a promise was a promise, and they never wanted to disappoint Gwen.
Absorbed in enchanting a pendant for concealment, they hardly noticed the soft pattering of feet coming from upstairs, lavender eyes focused on the glowing swirls and curls of their magic enveloping the sapphire pendant, the glow brightening once the inscription was done, only to disappear soon after.
Just then the magician was surprised by a pair of arms embracing their middle, feeling her forehead rest between their shoulder blades. It brought a relieved smile to their face, and they brought their hand to rest atop of hers. “Slept well, I presume ?”
Seeing her well rested brought relief, if only for their weary soul that had stayed close near the room, making sure that the owner of said room was free of any creeping nightmares. So when she offered to close up the shop to make breakfast, their eyes lit up just a tiny bit, and with a snap of their fingers, the fire in the lantern above the door went out. “I’d love that. Anything in mind already ?”

Lyntel sighs once, happily. “Oh gods, Gwen. I love you so much. You are just so... great. Wonderful, kind, understanding. Just-” Another sigh, blushing softly. “Great.”
