yeah!!! i haven’t done anything w/ her in forever but she deserves more attention lol, her name’s mizka n she’s a dragon hunter :)
her character has a lot to do w/ my end headcanons, so imma explain em here:
- the end is just as unlimited as the material plane/overworld, the main difference being that it’s all fairly similar and much more of it has been explored because the people living there don’t have to deal with atmosphere changes or gravity or anything, and the “planets” are basically just these giant flat islands (insert clever flat earther joke here)
- the main/most common two species are endermen and enderdragons, though there are others (take shulkers for example). endermen/enderdragons are thought to have a common ancestor, considering the similarities between them biologically (diet, coloration, scale texture, head shape, etc), but they typically don’t get along very well and most interactions between the two either end up with the dragon as a fierce dictator over the endermen in that area or a very dead dragon
- there are open portals to the overworld from the end, but most only function as one-way trips or, in some cases, simply wouldn’t be accessible to humans (for two-way portals, think like a narrow hole an enderman would have to lie down in a specific position to get into that any human beyond the age of like 12 would just be too wide to fit through. it also works for keeping out undead/creepers/etc, but the reason two-way systems are so disliked is bc a lot of bugs and small animals can get through and that gets really annoying really fast lol)
- not an end headcanon, but also important: dragons also exist in the overworld, just w/ more,, earthly things (not like,, fire n stuff but they’re themed more around like different kinds of plants n whatnot, a lot of ones that live underground are also based around different kinds of rocks or gemstones)
so! backstory! a lot of my characters don’t have v detailed backgrounds and she’s no exception, but i imagine that her lil island was probably taken over by a dragon when she was young and she had to leave to the overworld bc of it. overworld dragons don’t rlly have the same aggression as enderdragons, but they can still cause a lot of trouble (like,, they’re not gonna become dictators or anything but it’s not uncommon for them to see a small town or smth and just go “no. bad. am going to eat”). usually people try to bring in others to deal with the problem in different ways so that they don’t have to kill the dragon, but in some cases, as sad as it is, there’s just not really another way to deal with it and letting the dragon go would cause more harm than anything else. mizka primary deals with those cases, and while there aren’t many dragons that actually need to be killed she gets paid a lot per case. as you can probably tell she’s a v morally questionable character, and she may or may not have a(n illegal) side job as an assassin. but she still mostly deals w/ dragons, both bc she understands a lot better than your average person how they work (y’know,, being related to them as a species and all) and as some sort of weird vengeance for her childhood
so uh!! yeah!! that’s her!! i should just do more w/ the end in general the whole place is just such a weird and vague concept there’s so much u could do w/ it,,,,
