Day 11:  Another drabble featuring two -tober prompts!

Fandom:  Star Wars

Words:  100

Prompt 1:  @fictober-event​:  “I swear, it’s not always like this.” 

Prompt 2:  @flufftober2021​  :  Love notes

Jaina screeched, deafening as a Krayt dragon, as Anakin practiced headbutting Mara’s knee.  

Luke could tell his fiancée was trying to be a good sport.  He lifted her hand to his lips with a grin, just as Jacen came in waving a folded scrap of flimsy.

“I found a love letter from Uncle Luke to Aunt Mara!!  Look!”

The couple’s combined alarm rolled through the Force.  Luke snatched and deftly relocated the paper into his pocket. Not something for children’s eyes.

“I swear, it’s not always like this,” he promised Mara.  She’d never agree to babysit again at this rate.

This picture shows it must be karma/payback, baby Luke.

Today’s Drabble with two prompts instead of one!

Fandom:  Star Wars (of course)

Words:  100

Prompt 1:  From Flufftober 2021:  “Lazy Sundays”

Prompt 2:  From Fictober 2021:  “I’ve waited for this.”

      Luke rolled over, reaching for his new wife.  This laziness in his bones was rare and delicious; he wanted to take advantage of every second.

      “I’ve waited for this,” he murmured, kissing her shoulder.

      “Sleeping in?”  Mara trailed a fingertip up his thigh.  “Or me?”

      “Both.”  Luke pulled her back against his chest.

      “It took you long enough,” she yawned, rolling in his embrace to meet sleepy blue eyes.

      “Took us,” he sighed.  “Your fault too.”

      She placed a kiss on his chin.  “Then make up for lost time.”

      “Your wish is my command, Mrs. Skywalker,” Luke promised. 

And delivered.

Prompt 2:  @whumptober2021​:  recovery/scars/aftermath

Mara watched Skywalker drift in the bacta.  He’d asked her to wait, so, confused, she’d waited—arms crossed, eyes stinging. 

She didn’t belong here.

Sounds in the corridor made Mara retreat into the shadows.

“Not this again.”

Solo’s unmistakable voice was low.  Entering with an emdee, he suddenly looked straight at her.

“Jade?”

Caught, she walked over.  “Solo.”

“Luke ask you to stay?”

“Yes.”

“He’ll recover.  No scars.” Solo glanced at fine lines well-etched into Skywalker’s exposed torso.  “No new ones, anyway.” 

Hazel eyes searched hers, knowing.  “He owes you one.”

Mara shrugged.

“’Night,” Han sighed, leaving her.

With Luke.

Day 17:  Two sweet -tober prompts equal one cavity-inducing drabble!

Words:  100

Prompt 1:  @fictober-event​:  “I’m with you, you know that.”

Prompt 2:  @flufftober2021​:  Domestic fluff

“But those parents are awful!  And their kids are worse!” Mara scowled.

Luke wiped flour-dusted hands on the frilly material covering his pants and, sighing, turned to his wife.  

“I’m with you, you know that.  But Ben’s school isn’t going to go for exhibition smackdown fundraising.  Nobody’s crazy enough to take you on…”  Untying and removing the apron, Luke tossed it aside, drawing Mara into his arms for a slow kiss.

She scowled, relenting.  “So you made a cake for the fundraiser?”

Kissing her nose, Luke shrugged.  “Revenge through my baking.  Subtle yet effective.”

“True,” Mara laughed.  “They’ll definitely suffer.”

Day 4:  Today’s Drabble Featuring Two Prompts!

Fandom:  Star Wars

Words:  100

Prompt 1:  Fictober “Fine, I give up.”

Prompt 2:  Whumptober “Do you trust me?”

Hapan clothes were the absolute worst.  Luke silently swore he’d never squeeze into another custom Per’Agthra suit, fashion be damned.  This get-up was so ostentatious, he felt submerged by the glittering ornamentation artfully splattering the silken fabric.

“May I?” his sister asked gently.

Luke’s dramatic sigh signaled surrender.  “Fine, I give up.”  

Leia smiled, deftly looping the brocade cravat into a complicated, beautiful decoration at his throat.  

“Do you trust me?”

An inelegant grunt was his assent.

“Good.  Because you look wonderful.”

Han’s entrance—sporting even more frills—halted Luke’s snort.  

“You too, kid?” he winked.  “The pitfalls of celebrity.”

Day 24:  Two prompts for my evil OTP drabble...

Fandom:  Star Wars (Rebels)

Words:  100

Prompt 1:  @fictober-event​:  “Is this supposed to impress me?” 

Prompt 2:  @whumptober2021​:  revenge

Governor Pryce stared wordlessly at the names on Thrawn’s datapad.

“Saboteurs, dissidents, anarchists.  Captured and executed on Atollon during the Chimaera’s recent deployment.”

“Is this supposed to impress me?” 

What did he want her to do?  Give him a medal?  Finding and killing Rebels was practically his job description, after all.

“These three…” Thrawn pointed with one long finger at the top of the list, “were responsible for the attempt on your life on Garel last quarter.”

A slow, satisfied smile spread across Pryce’s lips as she met Thrawn’s gaze.

“Then consider me very impressed,” she purred, reaching for him.

Day 25:  Two spoons of sweetness stuffed into a drabble!

Fandom:  Star Wars (Legends)

Words:  100

Prompt 1:  @fictober-event: “Do you know what time it is?”

Prompt 2:  @flufftober2021:  Cuddling & Snuggling

Luke knew it would disturb his light-sleeper of a wife, but sometimes he couldn’t resist slipping an arm around her.  The darkness of bad dreams lost all power when he felt Mara’s warmth beneath his fingers.

She stirred, a little sigh as she pressed her back to his front.  “Nightmare?”

Burying his nose in her hair, Luke tightened his arms.  “Maybe.”

“Do you know what time it is?”

Luke raised his head to check the dimly-lit chrono across the room.  “Early.  You should go back to sleep.”

Rotating in his embrace, Mara kissed him softly.  “I’ve got a better idea.”
