They’re kinda cute.” Nora spoke, pointing to one of the centipeetles just moving along the floor. “We could keep at least one.” She summoned her shield as one spit acid, blocking it.

“So wait... you’re telling me that you’ve actually... kinda unfused your human half from your gem half?” The newly eight-foot diamond looked absolutely puzzled.
“This happened to me when I still had my organic body. Though I nearly died, and probably would’ve if I hadn’t been reunited with my gem half. Not that it matters anymore.” Red huffed as she glanced down to her reformed body. “Anyway, it’s very fascinating to learn that such a thing is possible. At least in this reality.”

VALENTINE’S DAY PROMPTS! - 🐻: give my muse a valentine’s teddy bear.
"Oh, Steven! She's so cute!"
It was true that Connie was often more interested in adventure and satire than she was in traditional cute things; but for Steven, she would always make an exception. And, well, what could she say? The bear was just adorable, with her little heart-patterned bow and everything.
Setting aside the bear for a moment, she clasped her best friend's hands in her own. Having someone to celebrate the day with was still a new thing for Connie - but she was always happy to learn.

"AND another thing! I know I've said it before, but the Archimicarus love interest thing was bad enough in the books, but WHY, in all the worlds, did anyone think it was a good idea to turn it into a love triangle??? I could have gone my whole life without seeing him and Frederick fighting over Lisa and been perfectly happy!
"You had ONE JOB, and that was to not be a terrible adaption! How did you possibly fail so badly?!"
It was only as she paused for breath, her rant to the world in general done for the moment, that Connie noticed her best friend's presence.
"Oh, Steven--"
She felt her cheeks warming. Embarrassed less that he'd caught her in the middle of a long-pent-up rant, and more that it had been a rant against something she knew he didn't feel the same way as her about.
"I, um. I made the mistake of finding video clips online of the Spirit Morphs Saga anime adaption," she confessed with some sheepishness.
“You should flour the rolling pin before you roll the dough.” Gem Steven replied, with his hurt hands behind his back and his neck in a scarf, despite the inside of the house being hot, due to the oven, so the younger Steven wouldn't see the injuries he had sustained.
"Oh! That's a good idea. Thanks," Steven said. He took a bit of flour and started applying it as best he could to the rolling pin. These were going to be amazing cookies, he was sure!
"How's this?" Steven asked. That was when he noticed the scarf around Gem Steven's neck. Concern became readily apparent in his expression.
"Aren't you hot?"
“I love chocolate! And peanut butter! And pretzels! But not the strawberries they know what they've done." Gem Steven said with a pinkish blush across the face.

"Got it. No strawberries on your waffles," Steven said. It wasn't going to be a together breakfast. Not after the now infamous together breakfast incident, anyway. Steven just was glad that Gem Steven was humoring him and having breakfast! He'd never thought about having peanut butter, chocolate, and pretzels on his waffles, though! What a creative decision, he thought.
"You want whipped cream, too?" Steven asked, opening the fridge to retrieve it. Perhaps it was a bit preemptive, but hey. He was excited.
