Celebrating the release of the Twisted Wonderland anime 🌹!

Since 2022 I've been waiting for the anime to be released, and finally it's here! So I made a fanart of my beloved Riddle to commemorate! The visuals are gorgeous and so is the voice acting! I'm really looking forward for this season (specially because book 1 is my favorite) and seeing the rest of the characters animated in the next episodes!

[TWST JP] Disney Twisted Wonderland: The Animation released date announced!

Here is the first reveal of the character designs of the seven dorm leaders. They have decided the production of season 1 to 3. Season 1 "Episode of Heartslabyul" will be exclusively aired on Disney+ in October 2025.

This is more of a reflection on episode 1, but I was reminded again of how mysterious YuuKen’s background is.

Why does he never mention his parents? Well, the same is true for the prefect in the game version, but at least the one in the novel does talk about them.

Officially, his kendo skills are said to surpass the level of a typical high school student. That means he likely didn’t start practicing kendo only after entering high school. Yet he chose to attend a high school that doesn’t even have a kendo club. Why is that?

And why isn’t he the captain of the kendo club, but rather the vice-captain? It’s an important position, of course, but considering he helped establish the club from scratch and is supposedly exceptionally skilled, it’s strange that he isn’t the captain.

He never talks about his parents, but his name clearly suggests that they, too, have a connection to kendo — the “Ken” (剣) in his name uses the same kanji as the “ken” in “kendō” (剣道). I hope the anime will reveal more about his background.

I am SO happy that the anime is coming out! And the fact that an English dub is already announced is amazing!!

I remember having to wait YEARS for an anime to get dubbed so I'm glad that's it's happening almost immediately!

But I am still pretty scared of it coming out because that means new eyes on the franchise. And idk I'm just worried of backlash and other random toxic people trying to ruin something I love.

I'm sure it will be fine, but part of me is still worried..
