Just almost started crying at work because I was thinking of that episode in season 2 where Mulder and Scully get stuck on a ship and the water has something in it that makes them 'grow old' (but theyre really just dehydrated? I think?) And how Scully looks at him so sad. Like it pains her to see him with wrinkles, his body slowly shutting down, his spirits crushed.
And now I'm on season 10 and she looks at him that same way.

*sigh* I don’t get the point of Mulder and Scully being separated in the revival.
It doesn’t feel in character but I guess they wanted drama right? Ok sure whatever. I’m not big on that kind of drama but I guess some people are, so OK you do you... Except... there wasn’t any drama? There was a bit of snippiness in 10x01, but from ep 2-5 they literally act exactly the same around each other as they always have. If they were still together 99% of the content of those episodes would be the same.
So like, what’s the point? It’s not adding anything to most of the plot, it feels ooc, and we’ve already seen 7 whole seasons of M+S working cases together while NOT acting on their feelings, working together as a couple honestly could have been an opportunity to show us something new.
