Me who learns that Haru & Ty Lee ended up together in a non-canon short...
Ty Laru again:)
Current AU, 5
Chief Sokka (Around the time Asha’s born (117 AG). I have a lot of unformed, tangled thoughts about SWT politics I won’t get into here, mostly because, well, they’re unformed and tangled. But yeah, Sokka becomes chief, and Kyoshi Island is now only visited on vacations.)
Baby Mako(to) (I stole another name. Actually, two others, if I picked up correctly. Mako’s the weird-eyebrow-guy in LOK, right? I know he’s named after Uncle Iroh original VA. Anyway, here, he’s Azula’s older son. Born in 118 AG, he’s a firebender, and takes after his great uncle in looks quite a bit, much to Azula’s chargrin. They’re civil, Iroh and her, but never really close. Also, I never really mentioned this, eventhough I mentioned Zuko setting out to find Ursa – of course, he finds her. Things are complicated, after that.)
Baby Kya (Born 118 AG as well, to Zuko and Katara. They’re married at that point, of course. She’s a firebender, I think. A late bloomer, though, and not very intuitive. Hard worker, but yeah, not very powerful. So, in the end, Fire Lord Zuko has a non-bender, a weak firebender and a waterbender (to get her own point shortly) for heirs, and people are not happy about that. So, that’ll probably be a thing.)
Gan joins the Army (Remember Gan? Probably not. I love my OCs. Anyway, he’s Toph’s little brother, and their mother is quite unhappy about him doing what he decides to do, because he was supposed to learn ... the things necessary to take over bussiness. What do the Beifongs do, anyway? Old money? How did they become rich? Still deciding. Could look at comics and wikis, but won’t.)
Baby Pema (That’s the other name I took, though not technically. She’ll actually even marry Tenzin, which is ironic, because I had completely forgotten about this chracter in LOK. Which I’ve never watched, anyway. She’s Ty Lee and Haru’s one and only child, a non-bender, taking after her mother.)
Baby Ursa (This is just a bunch of kids again. Both her and Pema are born in 120 AG. She’s a waterbender, because I tend to switch names and bending. Some time between these guys’ birth and Mako and Kya’s, Pakku and Kanna die. Also, something with Wan Shi Tong’s Library, maybe, possibly. Anyway, she’s Zuko and Katara’s youngest. Also, apparently “anyway” is the new word I’ve latched onto. The last was “rambling”.)
Baby Kisu (Youngest of Azula and Ichirou. Non-bender. Born 121 AG. I haven’t thought much about him, yet, other than deciding that he’s a bit of a history nerd and Little Iroh’s favourite cousin, honorary or otherwise. Maybe because they’re both non-benders in the Royal Family.)
Iroh dies (Uncle Iroh, of course. This’ll be ... at least twenty years after the war is over, so he doesn’t die young, but also not old-old. Kyoshi was like 200, after all, and Bumi’s at least 110 when we meet him, soo ... Yeah, maybe he does die “young”. By Avatar World Standards.)
Baby Kavi (Who’s the last NextGen kid, I promise. Toph and Aang’s youngest son, an airbender and a talented one, a lot like his dad. He’s born in 124 AG, and they settle somewhere more permanently a few years after his birth; they’re kinda nomadic up to that point, because I figured it would make Aang’s job as the Avatar a bit easier and because ... well, Air Nomads. Toph and Aang also are very freedom loving people, so why wouldn’t they continue travelling, even with the kids.)
This is basically just babies, but yeah, “Babies Ever After” and all that.

Ty Laru headcannons
i know what you're thinking: this thing came out from the Chibi shorts, and Haru and Ty Lee don't even meet in ATLA!
But but.....
Why not?
These are all my headcannons that support a certain theory i'll talk later about......
They could have met the first time at Zuko's coronation, but probably they wouldn't have even talked. But then Ty Lee became a member of the Kyoshi Warriors, and this gives her the possibility to travel to the Earth Kingdom
Maybe it's a festival in Kyoshi island: a good reason to leave the Fire Nation with her comrades and go to the Earth Kingdom.
During this festival she can meet Haru: he is a friend of the Avatar, Zuko knows him. I don't believe it's love at first sight, but they meet again later, in a mission of the Kyoshi Warriors around Haru's village.
They have the chance of work togheter, and Ty Lee finds this guy pretty great. Haru is brave and kind, the same things that Ty Lee possibly liked about Sokka (??)
In the moment they become a couple they have a few problems with Haru's father, who doesn't exatly like Firenation people. They have a bad time there, but thanks to Mai, who supported Ty Lee and helped her with the old man, they can get together with Haru's father approval.
Haru would move in Caldera because of Ty Lee's job as part of Zuko's guards, but the Firelord and the Earth King give him the role of contact between their two countries, so often he travels in the Earth Kingdom too.
They has two child. The first one has Izumi's age, and they'll be best frineds as Mai and Ty Lee are. The second one was born years later, when both of her parents are kinda old. It's Pema.
I bet you heard the theories already, they are not mine, credit to whoever invented them (you're great).
There is the most famous theory about Ty Lee, that she is the descendant of some airbenders. And then someone said that Pema may be Ty Lee's daughter bc they kinda look alike. And it isn't weird that all of Pema and Tenzin's sons/daughter (don't know about Rohan but let's say he is) are airbenders? It's a great thing, ofc, but even a couple as Aang and Katara, both benders, has a son who is a non-bender. And Pema, a non bender, and Tenzin has three/four children who can bend? Maybe.... because of Ty Lee legacy. It's normal that children of non bender people can be benders (as Katara). Maybe Ty Lee's airbenders ancestors bending went throught the family till Pema's children? This could mean nothing, Pema could be daughter of some other airbender descendant, but that's how i like to see that:)
Current AU, 4
Baby Bumi (Who was planned about as much as Sesi, which is to say Not At All, because I doubt anybody’s reading all of these. He gets his name because Aang lost a bet to Bumi when they were both boys, I’ve decided. Born in 112 AG. His namesake dies the year after, but they do get to meet a few times. Even if the baby won’t remember that; he’ll get a plush Flopsy, or something, to carry around. He’s an earthbender, because of course he is. He’s tagged as “Bumi II”, though technically he’d be Bumi Beifong, not the Second. [Correction: He’s Bumi II in my documents, if they mention both Bumis, but in my tags, he’s just Bumi.])
Toph proposes (After Bumi I dies. Actually getting married will take them another ... ten, fifteen years. Around the time Iroh I dies. The Beifongs probably aren’t happy about them “living in sin” (even if there is no such thing in the Avatar world, technically), but they’re their own people, and I feel like they don’t care much about making things ... official official. Like, on paper.)
Ichirou (He’s an OC, still barely formed. Green eyes, so some Earth Kingdom ancestry, which I only decided when I coloured his son. He works as a guard in the Fire Nation Palace, though, and is, in fact, a bender. That, I just now decided. He’s important because he’s the guy Azula’ll ultimately marry. They actually get married around the time Bumi’s born. Nobody hit me because she’s with a guy, please, I know people like to hc her as a lesbian (or is that cofirmed in the comics?), and that’s very valid. She’s just not in this AU. Also, happening during canon T*zula is possibly the worst ship to come out of this fandom, which I just wanted to say at some point. I’m not willing to discuss this.)
Baby Kesuk (There will be a lot of children in this post. He’s born in 115 AG, on Kyoshi Island, I think. Non-bender. Second and last of Sokka and Suki’s children. Around the time of his birth, Ty Lee and Haru get married, Katara and Zuko get enganged and Little Iroh starts learning shuriken-jutsu. Also, Teo is now King of Omashu, probably, and there’s reasons behind that, but I haven’t decided on a lot of details.)
Babies Norbu and Tenzin (I like the name Tenzin, so I’m keeping it. Just as I kept “Bumi” and “Kya”, who will come later. They are planned, technically, though obviously, you can’t plan for twins. Kesuk was planned as well, btw. The German word for a planned child is “Wunschkind”, which literally translates to “wish child” and writing in my second language really makes me appreaciate my first. They’re both airbenders, though incredibly different in nature. Born in 116 AG.)
Lao Beifong dies (After his grandsons’ birth, before his granddaughter’s, who’s the next point.)
Baby Asha (As I said, a lot of kids in this post. Fourth child and only daughter of Aang and Toph. I don’t entirely know why, but they always end up with way to many kids in my AUs. I feel like they’d have one or two hoppala children. That would be Bumi and Asha (and technic-technically one of the twins, because, y’know, two for the price of one). The twins are born in early 116, she’s born in late 117. So there’s about a year and half between them. These children’s birth years are the only thing I’ve got down for sure. She’s an earthbender.)
Six more children after these five. I think. It’s late. Can you tell I enjoy the “Babies Ever After” trope? I’m weak. Anyway, they can all be found in the last story of this series.
Current AU, 3
Toph and Teo date (For a year or two. Not too serious. I don’t know why, but I’m somewhat fond of Teoph. I also wanted Toph to have some teenage romance, before I move onto Taang. Aang gets some, too, but I haven’t yet decided with whom. Probably an OC, though. And I imagine Teo is someone they see a little more frequently than others, as he lives at the Northern Air Temple, which Aang would likely want to visit now and again. He travels with them once or twice, too, and in Year 2 of their relationship, Aang’s Not Happy about that, ‘cause he’s developing a wee crush. Also, thirdwheeling isn’t enjoyable even if you’re not in love with one of the other two wheels, I’d imagine.)
Baby Sesi (Who was Not Planned. And Sokka and Suki’s daughter, born in 109 AG. They get married mostly because of the pregnancy (though they’d done so sooner or later), and from then on split their year (a lot more evenly than before) between the South Pole and Kyoshi Island until Sokka becomes Chief about ... five to ten years later.)
Iroh does re-open the Jasmine Dragon (Though technically, it’s probably not a re-opening, I don’t think the place would still be free even only two years later. The Duke is one of his first employees. I like The Duke, and I haven’t thought too much about him, yet, but he’s the one who takes over when Iroh dies, I think.)
Energybending (I neglected to mention this before, but of course, energybending does still exist. And Aang finds out about it, and it will be quite hard on him, because ... there was a way to not kill Ozai and ... he killed Ozai. Haven’t yet decided how he finds out about it, but maybe Ty Lee; she’s a Chi Blocker, and chi is energy, so I figure she probably has at least a vague idea about it. Like, she doesn’t believe you can actually permanently take bending, but she’s probably heard of the concept. Don’t know yet how he’ll learn it. Will have to search a lion turtle, I guess. Or just Pathik, we’ll see.)
Aang and Toph (Start dating a year or two after Sesi’s born. They keep it secret at first, though, or at least on the down low. Enjoying some togetherness before their relationship status becomes world wide news. The German word for “togetherness” is “Zweisamkeit”, which is much nicer, because it’s like “Einsamkeit” (loneliness, “ein” means “a” or “one”), but with “zwei” which means “two”. Half the world probably thinks they’re a thing, anyway, because they’re travelling together and only together, but it’s different when they actually are.)
Ty Lee and Haru (I have not much to say about them, but they end up together.)
Katara and Zuko (Start getting closer when she’s in the Fire Nation for ... some reason or other. Probably End of the War celebrations. This is why I killed Song. So there’s Zutara and the chance of people finding the story increases. I regret that a bit, because nobody’s clicking anyway, lol. Little Iroh’s four at this point, and they’re both careful about it. Katara gets to fool around before this, too, btw, just like Toph and Aang, but like with the latter, I haven’t yet made my mind up with whom. Again, OC probably.)
Most of this stuff is interpersonal ... I need to think some more about how the world would actually deals with ... well, the aftermath of a war. I’m just really not good at that.
