I am leaving Tumblr

Hi, everyone!!  I’m going to try to keep this short and sweet.  I have been on Tumblr for about 4 years now, and sadly, it is time for me to go.  At the end of May, I will be starting a strenuous position performing data analytics for the US government, and I will no longer have time to maintain this blog.  It is an incredible opportunity for me, and I am so excited to start my dream job.  

However, while I am going to be inactive on purpleplatypusbear21, I will still post on my side blog, phantomstatistician.  So if you’d like to keep in touch, please follow me @phantomstatistician!!

I’m going to be reblogging this message every day until I leave at the end of the month, so if you do not wish to see this message, please black list “#ppb21 says goodbye”.

One last life update: my husband and I bought a house!  The house is better than I could have ever dreamed.  It’s 5 bedroom, 4 bath - I can’t believe it.  What are we going to do with all that space?!

I saw a comic on Twitter by an Asian artist talking about how much ATLA meant to them, getting to see Asians on screen. I think that's one of the best refutations of That Post we're going to get, and it wasn't even in response to That Post!

I’m so glad to see other Asians speaking well of ATLA!  Honestly I was shocked and disappointed to see so much hate and buzz words thrown around after ATLA was added back on Netflix.  I never expected that.  But there are a lot of Asian fans out there, myself included, who love Avatar and will always love it!
