So an oomfie on twt told me that a good cutie mark design would be a camera and an hourglass.
The idea did cross my mind but I decided it wasn't good enough to represent their abilities but the more I thought of it and with oomfie's reply to my sputtering, I realized that I shouldn't have over thought about it and just went with it 😭

💓 - ok so. the signs are barely there. deazel has never been in actual love with someone, he’s kind of selfish and arrogant cuz of the famous band and also being an evil nightmare traveling clown LMFAOO. but i think if he does warm up to someone in a flushed way, it’s small things. like actively inviting someone to hang out without mildly threatening them LMFAOOO. but also like. doing trivial tasks for someone without saying anything, showing up actually on time to events and making that time for this person. even ditching practice which he rarely does and practice is usually his excuse to ditch. just generally only being a good person FOR this special someone, cuz he suckkks so bad like he will just lie and make up shit snd get you in all kinds of trouble!! but ofc i have to make even my menacing guys silly. he won’t say the L word but you’ll know it.
🤡 - probably the fact that like. darlen would win against him in a fight. brains vs brawn.. its lowkey embarrassing and he doesn’t talk about it LOL he won’t admit he’s lost to her before in both of a battle of wits and also like real fighting…

💝- he wld really appreciate it if someone else did his makeup for him… he does it every time and on bad days it pisses him the FAWK off… if you can even get close enough to do this… but also like. 2 get on his good side is pretty easy - don’t piss him off, don’t look punchable, and don’t mess with his band. LOL

3. What was the first thing you decided on, the character's name, appearance, personality or their role in the story?
appearance was definitely the first thing i thought of for emitzi. well, maybe a mix of appearance and personality. she's meant to emulate a horror game protag, but... kind of a fail one, i guess! muted colors and very anxious personality.
4. And reverse, which one of the four things did you struggle with the most?
i think role in the story so far is what i'm struggling with. i'm not sure where emitzi should go. she's kind of in a stasis mainly because she doesn't go out much due to extreme fear of the outside world (thanks to her sister coddling her). i guess i need 2 think on her character arc more or find someone/something to catapult her into changing. she's a bard of time and i kind of want her to get stuck in an infinite time loop at some point oops!
9. How big is their role in the story? Do they make a frequent appearance or are they a character with little "screentime" but big influence? Or are they just a favourite background guy?
for now her role is kind of minor! im working her into a story with poiZon because i think a music genre themed session would be fun. but like. all music genres that are MY favorite LMAO. shes a coward but maybe in the future she'll evolve. idk i don't fansesh or hop around on oc chats on parp as much anymore so writing on my own is a lil hard sweats... little motivation i fear...
19. What is your general favourite thing about the character? What is your least favourite?
my general favorite thing is probably her whole character design. i really like her aesthetic as well as her music genre she's themed after, so it's really fun to put her playlist on when i'm drawing her or just going about my usual day. my least favourite would have to be her cowardice, it doesn't make for interesting interactions because she rarely leaves her damn house!!!!
