One of the Tylomelania snails is out and about! :D
How beautiful are these rabbit snails (Tylomelania genus)?! They combine well with the fascinating shrimp species from Sulawesi, as both hail from these areas.

The big wild caught bunny has such stunning color contrast but she refuses to come out of the darkest parts of the tank so all I get are these potato quality cryptid shots T-T

Those of you who missed it: in January I got a mixed bag of different species of Tylomelania snails directly from a breeder in Southern Germany. They were tiny with their houses between 5 and 10 mm long. This little beauty here has by now reached the 20 mm mark. Depending on the species (even though some of mine probably are hybrids), they can get up to 100mm (10cm, about 4 inches for the Americans) long houses.
Also. I know the lighting sucks xD It was 5:30 in the morning and i can only ever take decent aquarium pictures in the afternoon when daylight illuminates that room enough.
Oh oh also! I didn't take a pic, but the improbable Cappuccino-snail (Faunus ater) babies i got from my brother are also growing :D

In other news, I figured out who’s been eating my nice javas -.-
The bigger one is named Itsy-Bitsy-Teeny-Weeny-Yellow-Polka-Dot-Bikini and the smaller one is probably gonna be Gimlet.
Have a super shitty picture of one of my Tylomelania snails! Their house is over 1.5 cm long now! It can get up to almost 7 times that size! And i love their yellow body. So cute!

This little guy (that's gonna grow big) has yellow dots all over their body!
They are part of the mixed bag of 10 random Tylo babies i got in January from a breeder in the south of Germany. When they moved in, their houses were under 1 cm in length and I barely ever saw them because they tend to bury in the sand when they feel stressed. I'm very happy to see them out and about more often :D
