Photo Imaging - Studio & Lab Natural Light - Types of Light 17.11.17
This week we started learning about using natural light in our photographs. Becoming successful at using natural light is incredibly difficult to master, natural light can be incredibly valuable to your craft. Essentially it is important to realise that the use of light can help use to interpret our ideas and creative intuition to something physical that people can view.
During the seminar we learn about 4 different types of Light -
- Direct - Direct light is described as light that comes from the sun and the stars.
- Reflected - Reflected Light is light that bounces off a subject/surface.
- Refracted - Refracted light is a light source that has gone through something such as a window.
- Diffracted - Diffracted light is light that is coming round something that is changing the direction of the light
Franklyn set a short brief to get us thinking about the different types of light. We were tasked to select a colour that we wanted to show in some images and in the photographs show different types of light.
