so i collect unique/novelty decks of cards, because a deck of cards can have a lot of really great graphic design packed into a small, affordable, and ubiquitous product (also card games are fun lol)
so i am SUPER pumped to get the LPOTL card deck!
i do print design as part of my day job, and just on a professional level i’m REALLY loving the foil stamped black paper. foil stamping and/or embossing on colored stock is literally my favorite go-to when i want to make a print piece look sick!
the detail i’m really losing my mind over, tho, is the design on the insert tab thing:
i almost NEVER see people using this amazing real estate. it’s always either blank or has tiny text crammed in there. this is SO GOOD.
i also love the lil pot leaf on the bottom *u*
the graphic design for tfatws is so sexy and also i totally relate to whoever does the credits etc cuz i too use din for literally everything
this is EXTREMELY ACCURATE
I LITERALLY HAVE THIS THING HANGING RIGHT BY MY FACE AT MY DESK AT WORK
MY LIFE IS PURE SUFFERING
i designed a print piece that has 100% justified type and now i finally have to actually set the type so it can go to press and honestly idk why i did that to myself like i guess i just love to suffer
o no instagram has gotten REALLY good with their sponsored post targeting bc they VERY MUCH understand my interests
im working on a wordmark for a campaign that contains the word “Just” and i am realizing that like NO FONT has good letter spacing between “J” and “U”
learned a cool thing this morning for work: i’m designing a publication that’s in simplified Chinese, and i kept getting notes from the proofer that “this section has to be italicized” but even i know that there’s no such thing as an italic alphabet in simplified Chinese. i looked it up and apparently the thing you’re supposed to do is switch fonts (like from sans serif to serif). which will be super easy for me bc i’m a genius and have been setting the text in the Noto font family this whole time. HUH! LEARNING!
