I wanna talk about dameian's dynamic with his family... maybe I will on my spam account

some male paxens (different species, paxens are a family of creatures)

infodump regarding paxens, tyraphs, and the cosmo Gammal below

paxens and tyraphs both evolved from the aish, a group of creatures created by the cosmo Gammal

paxens and tyraphs are kinda like yinyang

good in evil (tyraphs)

evil in good (paxens)

they both have god complexes as a whole because they believe theyre descendants of gods

but present it in different ways

paxens are "I am god therefore nothing rules over me" (theyre extremely xenophobic and no creatures in the entire universe of nací knows where they are or that they even exist because they were very through in disappearing after the "death" of seam as they feel they've completed the "prophecy", seam is technically the only living creature aware that paxens exist but shes unconscious)

tyraphs are "I am god therefore I rule over everything" (i mentioned this before but tyraphs don't have the ability to domesticate other creatures, which is frustrating for a tyrannical species, in fact their name is a combination of tyrant and wrath)

theyre both pretentious assholes

except tyraphs know theyre evil and paxens think everything they do is justified

i haven't worked alot on paxens because they're extremely irrelevant after seams death 😅 they literally disappear

its funny to me creatures that descended from a creature close to a "god" ended up being so insufferable

Gammal is by no means perfect and a extremely flawed "god" so this was very much an intentional thing

the creation of the universe was literally an accident

in her defense she has extremely good intentions and theres not like a rulebook she could have followed on how to manage your space ant colonies, leading to alot of trial and error, and she learned from her creations themselves

at least she left behind a self sufficient universe, a dumpster fire of a universe but at least it can keep itself going

no living creature in nací worships Gammal in a meaningful sense

they worship the idea of a creator but they dont know who or what that is

and the creatures who are aware of her just see her as a fountain of worship for themselves

a reason for themselves to be seen as gods (tyra-pax and starkin)

my oc selen at 21 (currently in the timeline shes dead, from an inflicted wound, she died at 69)

shes an antagonist in one of my main stories, the one involving tyraphs

Design Notes:

I wanted Selen to look less motherly than a minerotyra queen/princess would normally look like. I took Eve (as in the one in the bible and also Eve from No Straight Roads) as inspiration, but with the thought of her being malicious and with ill-intent. Femme fatale is probably the right term to describe her. Siren also comes to mind.

Tyraphs typically have 3 pairs of breasts but Selen has a hormone disorder that makes her only have one, pushing the idea of her being not a bringer of life, but a bringer of pleasure, pain, and death even further.

Heres her daughter Opal mentioned ahead, in contrast:

Opal has her own set of mental issues because it runs in her family, but she wasnt raised by Selen, neglected by her even. Opal was raised by milk nurses and isnt a antagonistic character in the story, but she is neutral.

Shes mostly just done with everything and embarrassed because of the mess her mother created.

They do look related obviously but her design is meant to contrast Selen to kinda symbolize breaking the cycle of generational trauma from her family, in a sense Selen not caring about her and not acknowledging her existence is what saved her.

Selen Info:

Selen is a minerotyra princess, she was born when there was peace between all the tyraph kingdoms.

Selen was raised by her aunt, the queen's younger sister. Being in her older sister's shadow all her life she took out her frustrations onto Selen, projecting onto her.

Selen for the most part didn't get effected by this emotionally, but she did learn from her aunts behaviour, and understood for some reason she was weak and inferior.

As she got older she slowly became more and more jealous of her aunt, which met its breaking point when her aunt killed her mother, to inherit the throne.

Her reign was short lived, and Selen followed her aunts footsteps, to a more extreme degree, torturing her close to death for decades until she finally died and Selen being the next in line, became queen.

She met her girlfriend Faun, a clantyra princess, lovebombing her and making her isolate from everyone around her. Eventually Faun, being a princess, was forced to follow her royal duties after failure to produce a suitable heir (will be explained in another post), and spent less and less time with Selen, enraging her.

Faun tried her best to make up for it by trying to see Selen as much as she could but one day she brang one of her friends to hang out with Selen.

Selen, already being on edge, grew jealous of her friend and stalked her until finally she killed her swiftly and silently, disposing of her corpse where no one would find her, but not without taking a necklace Faun gave to her.

Faun grew depressed after the disappearance of her friend and would go to Selen for comfort, until one day she saw the necklace around her neck, terrifying her and making her flee from Selen forever.

Over the years they grew resentment towards eachother, and as soon as they inherited the throne the minerotyra and clantyra kingdoms were in all out war, threatening other species of tyraphs as alot of them were caught in the crossfire.

Still after all this time Selen was extremely obsessed with Faun, even her daughter Opal bears resemblance to Faun because of Selen obsessively picking partners that looked like Faun, both male and female, though it often led to many deaths as Selen's rage engulfed her.

theyre from WAY in the future theyre not even born yet, natanael and dmitry are their honorable dads but only because theyre in a situationship with each other and natanael is in a situationship with buics dad

the barcode like scar on their belly is because they were conceived in a artificial womb, some of my other ocs have this too, mostly gaia tribe wandering travelers, they lack a belly button cuz it was lasered off by a machine

they're amused by the baby because he's determined to eat just like the adults because his teeth came in

more notes below:

the mom next to him has a elevated eating bed because she's breastfeeding a baby similar in age to him

the young boy who is practicing bad dinner manners (by sitting on his eating bed and not laying down) is simply trying to seek attention because he's no longer the baby of the family x2

this is a very simple standard family meal that consists of dipping bread (the varies sections of the bread are to dip them into different things) with a couple of different "dips" (stews, broths and some sweeter porridges/purees), similar to the bowls with multiple bowls attached to them, the pots have different sections to make it easier to make different things at the same time

the hot drinks are a form of alcohol

the first person is the father of the baby next to him, and he's siblings with the woman next to them

the baby under her and the kid next to her are her children

the person at the end is their cousin

male bubotyra design sketch

bubotyra are endangered and because of other tyraphs messing with their planet and ultimately killing most of the population and pushing the rest of their homeworld alot of them ended up disabled and in need of intensive care

the ones that survived unharmed focused all their time in creating ships that work as intensive care facilities to hopefully propagate their species again one day

these bubos also focused a lot of their time engineering cloaking technology that's highly sought out by other tyraphs and even wandering travelers

because of this they're huge targets

more on them later when I finalize their design i haven't drawn a bubo in like 4 years 😅

graham is buic's boyfriend who solely interacts with them virtually because he's bed ridden and unable to leave his room

and also because he's under oath to never interact with other tyraphs physically (or exposed where he's located), he has a special case that allows him to interact with other tyraphs in hopes of being able to come up with some treaty that stops the hunting of bubos

unfortunately he mostly uses this to hang out with his boyfriend because he's desperate for connection with others

he's a diplomat of sorts but he's too young to handle that responsibly
