Princess Anna of Arendelle is left orphaned and lonely after her parents are killed in a shipwreck, but her spunky, irrepressible personality keeps her from losing her mind after she and her demure older sister Elsa are locked in the palace for their safety.
Kristoff Bjorgman is a simple iceman whose best friend is his reindeer Sven, and his memories of a mysterious nighttime encounter with the royal family of Arendelle when he was a child have long since been forgotten.
At Elsa’s coronation, Anna is shocked to discover that her older sister has been hiding her magical ice powers, and Elsa flees to the mountains after accidentally unleashing an eternal winter on Arendelle. Leaving behind her suitor Prince Hans, Anna follows Elsa to the mountains and meets Kristoff, convincing him to help her find Elsa in order to keep his ice business from sinking. Kristoff and Anna quickly develop feelings for each other, but Anna is debilitated by a frozen heart. Kristoff and Anna will face a stone giant, a deadly curse, and a murderous fiancee before they can acknowledge their feelings for each other, but even their devotion to one another may not be enough to see them to the end of their adventure.
