Girl Spirit review -Ep 3- *Fight Song Team “B”*
This week is the part two of fight song theme, team “B” will be performing .. as they called themselves the team of death XD it’ll be a fierce competition for sure ! The order of performances as it was decided by Bohyung in the first episode goes like this:
1- BESTIe’s U.Ji 2- April’s JinSol 3- Ladies Code’s Sojung 4- Fiestar’s Hyemi 5- Spica’s Bohyung, 6- Laboum’s soyeon
Let the fight begin !
First one to head to the stage was U.JI .. I had no idea about her past with Exid or about BESTIe either tbh, but I felt so sad for her, many people address idols in a harsh attacking words that they don’t see how hurtful they are, but they can drive those idols crazy or even take dramatic decisions, I hope people would stop assuming and attacking from behind the screen it’s really frustrating and those idols have already enough to be depressed about so cut them some slack please u_u I hope her group becomes more successful in the future U.JI sang Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing”, Brave choice I must say, but from the first note she sang she pas amazing, you could tell she felt the song and that she poured her emotions into it,I was almost moved to tears at some point, also it was a very mature performance, she did so well, she plays with the notes and volume and techniques, you can tell she’s a very good singer, I feel sorry again for not knowing her before, many people would name Hyorin for songs like these but I feel UJI was so much better with her techniques.. I love Hyurin it’s just a reflection on how narrow our thinking can be in Kpop.. anyway what an opening stage !! She got a super high score which she deserved totally everyone was WOWed
Next was JinSeol, poor girl she was terrified after UJI’s performance XD yet she did well, at first she played a clip of her froom 2 years ago, these things always tangle the audience’s hearts and make you relate with the person, she sang well overall it was a nice light stage good for her age
next is Sojung , I was so so happy to see her exercise like that, she talked about beating eating disorders and strength and breathing control, which is all very important for singer, I wish more girl group members start eating healthy foods and workout more to have a healthier mind and body *fighting*
Sojung performed Lee Hi’s “1.2.3.4″ which I thought wwas a good choice for her voice and style, it was a shame she had a cold though, the performance couldn’ve been so much better if her condition was good because of that she looked nervous and regretful too T-T still she gave a very good performance and the guys were just drooling there hahaha then the Guru was complaining about the score XD I feel him, the audience can be weird sometimes
Forth performer is Hyemi, side note I always like to see idol stars going to college and pursuing their studies, not many can have that but it’s very important so props to her for doing it. She decided to sing is Miss A’s “Hush” she performed well her dancng and stage appeal was very good, her voice worked well and the EDM fusion was interesting, but it was almost a forgettable stage which is a shame, I think she’s still looking for THE song that will make her shine, also I don’t see how is Hush a fight song but that’s a personal perspective which I have no say about XD
Time now for Bohyung to take the stage, she’s performing “The Unwritten Legend” by Shin Seunghun, she only had one day to prepare for it but .. man that girl can sing :o She picked a song she relates to, more that relating it was what inspired her to become a singer in the first place, the way she arranged and sang it was so great I want it on my phone tbh, her confidence and style of singing is so different from others, it shows a lot of maturity and contol I really admire her, I also hope Spica get better songs from now on like PLEASE!!
Last stage already, Soyeon’s fight song is Lee Mija’s ‘Lady Dongbaek” she wanted to dedicate it to her teacher who helped her during her high school years, you could tell from the start that the performance was gonna be very emotional and that what it was, the song is so beautiful itself (I love older songs excuse me) and she sang it with grace and beauty I liked her stage overall. When she finished they showed her her teacher who was actually in the audience the entire time, I cried rivers at that moment, it was just too emotional and touching for everyone, Teachers have a great impact on our lives I hope more of them realize that and help their students more !
After all the performances were over, the second round of votes was held and based on it here are the top 3 of this episode:
3- A tie between Sojung and Soyeon
2- Bohyung
1 UJI
It was a nice episode, the final ranking made sense to me too so I can’t wait for the next one ^^ ps: I wasn’t wrong to call Seunghee the female Sandeul lol her reactions are amazing kkkkkk
That’s all for this Episode, I hope to write my reviw on 4th episode soon
Bye Bye~~
