Hi! Sorry if you get asked this a lot, but would you mind explaining more about how the green skin thing relates to antisemitism? I've only ever heard of it coming into play during the black&white era in film where they would paint pale-skinned characters green because it would show up a truer white than white makeup, and after color film came out they would paint witches and monsters green as a throwback. Is this not the case? I don't want to offend anyone due to a lack of knowledge.
hi this is exactly the mindset i was talking about that misses the point of avoiding antisemitic representation in media. like i really don’t know exactly where the green skin thing came from and at this point i don’t think it matters. try looking into some modern antisemitic tropes to avoid like the loud bossy jewish woman, the overbearing jewish mother and her jewish manchild, the “privileged” (i.e. rich, greedy, and untrustworthy) jew. the kind of thing that does more tangible damage in 2020 than thrice-removed old timey antisemitism that, as you nicely demonstrated, nobody even understands
