I run a pet adoption portal that lets people adopt abandoned dogs and dogs looking to get re-homed from shelters, NGOs & users across India. My love for pets and the inability for people to connect to and find out about adoptions around them let me to develop this. Starting out, due to the nascent nature of this venture, it was very hard to convince shelters to use our platform because of their inertia and belief that it wouldn't work. However, with time showing them the number of people coming forward to adopt these pets, been able to sign up 300 shelters across India and doing 3+ adoptions every day. So far, Petdom has been featured in national newspapers and generating a lot of traction. I started with the typical Asian parents dream of engineering and a cushy job, when I completed my BE in 2012 from Delhi University. Over time, I've worked as a Business Analyst and a Programmer for companies in various capacities before I started out on Petdom.
