In my cheesiest cornball Morpheus voice- What if I told you this was done with 1 only eyeshadow? 🤠 sorry another long caption..I got the idea from seeing @iamleah do single eyeshadow swatches on an eye for the latest KVD palette. I thought it was a very honest way to show a single color. I took it further and thought it would be cool to show how shadows looked on top of a neutral base, white base, dark base, packed on AND applied sheer/blended out. Just to see how it performs, ya know? Anyway, I decided to try it with the @urbandecaycosmetics Naked Cherry palette, starting with the shade “Hot Spot”. On the lid it’s used on top of a white base, in the crease it’s on top of a dark brown base, same for lower lash line. And then blended up to the brow as a highlight. Happy World Bee Day! 🐝🍯 Swatch art of @urbandecaycosmetics Naked Honey, one of my top favorite Naked palettes! 💛💛💛 I think the occasion calls for a #letsswatchandlearn series post! 🤓📚 5 fun bee facts: 🐝 Bees dance! They communicate via a waggle dance; when they find a really good food source they go back to the hive and start dancing! The angle and length of time they dance for indicates to the other bees where to find the food! 💃🏻 🐝 Bee’s wings stroke 11,400 times/min, thus making the distinctive “buzz” sound! That’s a lot of RPMs! 😯 🐝 The average bee makes approximately 1/12 of a teaspoon of honey in its lifetime! By working together though, they are able to produce hundreds of pounds a year. BONUS FACT: In order to make a full pound of honey, bees must fly 50,000 miles and visit ~2 million flowers!!! 😳 🐝There are over 20,000 bee species but only one makes honey, the honey bee! However, there are 8 recognized honey bee species. 🐝 Bees have existed for about 130 million years!! To put it into perspective, humans have only been around for ~300,000 years! 💜💦☀️😍🤤 Get your sunscreen ready because the intensity of the new @urbandecaycosmetics UltraViolet palette is off the charts! 😄😜… no, but seriously! 🥵☢️ … all jokes aside, this palette is a perfect ode to UD’s signature purple color. I absolutely love that they included peachy shades, as I think orange and purple compliment each other so beautifully, and it helps make the palette more versatile and wearable.
