Canonically Kane has ADHD. He picked up magic tricks and yoyo tricks for fun, and I imagine he's often seen fiddling with anything he can hold. This does include his partner(s?) hands. And hair. And whatever else they let him touch. Just give him something to hold.

I’m leaving a fair warning for anyone wanting to interact with Lal on the yogsummer server, he’s easy to snap right now. He will not be the sweet and sensual blond you know. He can and more than likely will be a complete asshole. 

He also doesn’t have memory of main verse so any romance he has there he doesn’t even know existed. The only reason he and Keir caught on quickly is because Lal and the insanity took a liking to him.
