Okay, first attempt at XCOM: Terror from the Deep for the first time in 10 years resulted in a sensation, in which I can imagine, feeling much like getting your nuts slammed by a baseball bat, then kicked in the groin, then having 20 liters of boiling oil dunked on your trousers, followed by an angry punch right to the cock.
Just how I remember TFTD.
rejoice! old school xcom terror mission briefing music be upon you!
I have an idea. There's a furry mod for the original XCOM: UFO Defense (if you live outside North America you might know it as UFO: Enemy Unknown), and I think it could be fun if my followers/mutuals or anybody who comes across this post were to leave a comment or reblog if they want to be an XCOM trooper! You can leave a name (if you want, otherwise I'll use your url), gender (although keep in mind that this is a game from 1994, there's only male and female), and species (there are 4: dragons, humans, kobolds, and werewolves). After every play session, I'll write up after-action reports for each mission, and give summaries of monthly council reports. I might set up polls so ya'll can help me with selecting research projects and for setting up new bases. The only mods I'll be running are the furry mod, a mod that adds the Heavy Rifle (a grenade launcher with an underbarrel assault rifle), some QOL stuff, and a mod that adds a shitload of countries to the XCOM Project's council of funding nations.

my psionics tables for XCOM-in-7TV carry an extremely slight chance of, on failing to use a psionic power, exploding
entirely because it’s the kind of thing that’d happen in the 90s XCOM wargame that doesn’t exist
