Finally confirmation of who made Sofia’s tiara!!! I’m so excited. One of the biggest recent tiara mysteries

My power and internet has been down and when it comes back on I see this surprising news!

Sarah (@sarahbellar) from @ufonomore has tracked down who created Princess Sofia of Sweden's Palmette Tiara and it’s...drumroll please...Beauty Gems!

They are a jeweler in Thailand and there has long been a rumor of a Thai origin for this tiara. At the time of the wedding, the royal court confirmed that the tiara was a gift from the King and Queen to their new daughter-in-law. Then in 2016, Svensk Dam reported that it was made from a necklace given to Queen Silvia by a Thai prince and that she had it sent back to Thailand to be turned into a tiara for Princess Sofia. The court refused to comment on that saying that it was a private gift.

A couple of weeks ago Queen Silvia attended a dinner hosted by Beauty Gems to raise funds for SafeguardKids which is a Thailand based partner of her World Childhood Foundation. All of the proceeds from the Royal Acorn collection will go to SafeguardKids.

Sarah posted that she will be releasing more information later this week so I'm excited to see what she has found.

Some people are mad at UFO No More for including Meghan in their yearly tally of clothing costs since she isn’t a working Royal anymore. Her total for the year is in the top 5 most expensive since the items she wore in 2021 are worth a lot of money. She was added to the tally in 2018 with Beatrice and Eugenie, so they do have a history of covering non working royals. In 2019, UFO No More included some items that Meghan had previously purchased or was gifted before she was a royal, so her total for that year came close to $1 million. The media ran with this number and it was used against her. So some think they indirectly contributed to Meghan’s media harassment. UFO No More has apparently changed how they do the tallies for new members of a royal family as a result.

Basically, you know Ufonomore does the end of year tally of how much each royal women spent on clothes. A lot of squaddies are mad Meghan got included in this year's tally because she's not working royal and not funded by taxpayers. Their argument is "its interesting". Mind you, ufonomore are the same blog that told the Dailyfail that she spent 100k in 2018 ( they counted from beginning of 2018 when she wasn't even married in, included her previously owned items + wedding jewelleries) which the Dailyfail then used to create the "Meghan is a spendthrift" narrative" so yeah a lot of squaddies do not like them.

okay then. thank you to you both for answering! and i get why a lot of the squad would be apprehensive but meghan isn’t the only non-working royal they track. so it’s not like they’re being totally unfair to meghan. also kate actually had the higher total of the two this year but even if it was meghan, it’s not a big deal to me because meghan does wear a expensive stuff (which is her right btw and i'm not arguing against that) so yes it’s going to be high. 

and i remember that whole incident. i don’t think the people running the blog had any malicious intent when they did that but since they apparently have changed their methodology i'm going to consider that they’ve realised their mistake and took steps to fix it. and the media is always going to create a negative narrative of meghan even if she spends $10 in total on her clothes.

So ufonomore and meghansmirror decided to start a daily clothing cost witch hunt against Meghan this year. I see their friends at the dailyfail are rubbing off on them.
