Trying to plan a horse riding holiday with my friend to portugal/Spain and I forgot how stressful it is to actually commit to things! Just when we think we’ve got it narrowed all the way down we’ll find something else out that will make me want to rethink things.
I think we’ve got it narrowed down to a trip in portugal that has a beach ride and dolphin viewing, but on the main site we were looking at only had availability in November. And the actual Portugal site for the ride seemed to agree with this. But then a different riding holiday site showed availablity in end of October which would be a more pleasant weather wise time to go. But is it even really available then?
And then my friend got the November dates approved off and doesn’t want to move them because her boss is out of town and she thinks it’ll be hard. But going two weeks early makes a lot more beach and pool options available which we’d both really like. And I feel like with six month notice, two weeks makes zero difference in what will get approved and like she has unlimited PTO anyway. But also there’s no approval process at my job. I just kind of say when I’m going on vacation and then coordinate coverage.
I was fine going in November when I thought that was all that was available but now that I know we could maybe go two weeks earlier, I’d really rather do that.
