Listen not to be forever gushing about tv!wylan but also do you know how cool it is to have a character played by a northern actor and have his accent just be a natural normal thing that isn't used as a marker of low intelligence or anything class-related?? Like no accent bias just a guy who pronounces "glass" in a different way to the other crows? Idk it just makes me so happy like he actually sounds vaguely like me this never happens
thinking about stsg I firmly believe that suguru was the one to fall in love first, but as their relationship progressed, it was almost like satoru started handing the reins over to him
Wait so is Swifthawk like Brightheart and Cloudtail's qpp?
I had to look up what that stood for even though I could hazard a guess, lol.
I just think close friendships are really underrated. Just because someone would die for someone else doesn't mean they want to be in a relationship with them, or even that they consider them family. They can just be unconditional best friends. Regardless of sexuality, gender, ect. Family and romance are a lot of fun, but friends are also awesome!
I have a whooole thing written out between Swifthawk and Jayfeather delving into this topic, but I'm too nervous to post it because this can be a delicate topic and I really dislike labeling people and characters alike.
i find it so incredibly difficult to avoid writing characters as saying “no worries” when they come from countries where that like, isn’t a thing and it makes it so hard because i just do it automatically
** Please do not click through if you are a writer and tend to be easily discouraged. Remember, these are all personal preference and highly individual. What makes one person go “ugh” is super hot for someone else. Thank you to all who submitted answers!! I found this to be very interesting and informative! **
my "ugh" words include"velvet," "rod," "cunny," "quim," and anything involving squelching noises.
shaft, pucker/puckered hole, rosebud, the phrase "masculine hardness."
My skin always crawls a little when I read the word 'pop' or 'popped' in a smut fic. This goes for skin sucking and virginity or 'cherry' references. I just feel like there are better ways of wording it.
"puckered hole"
I find great difficulty in reading and writing "cunt". It a bit to.... Vulgar, for me. But I do use it when I have used up all the other ones. I find "the throbbing hard pole of his manhood" just too cheesy. Though "his potent thrusting man piston" a close second.
"Throbbing member" makes me snicker EVERY DAMN TIME
When they use 'pussy' too often. Oh, and 'sopping' ><;
My smut Ugh Words include: "her folds" (especially if they are slick) and "his seed" (shoot up deep inside her).
Words I find distasteful are cock, pussy and cunt. I also find someone writing "shot a thick rope of cum" over the top.
I hate all those evocative euphemisms like manhood, womanhood etc.
“Ministrations” pulls me right out of the mood. It’s so clinical sounding.
I dislike dick. Cock is the only way to go.
I hate when the guy calls the girl "sugar" or "kitten". Especially in Reylo's case
“Nether lips”
I don’t get the whole “string of saliva” thing and I see it all the time.
“weepy womanhood”
engorged or enlarged “meat”
“bumps cervix.” Sounds painful rather than pleasurable.
dick rather than cock
“cunt”
I absolutely lose any desire when I read "pussy". Interestingly, someone saying it aloud (irl) like, as dirty talk, is fine. But reading it just... It's weird. I much prefer "cunt" in the context of reading.
“dick”
this is pretty specific but I don’t like it when Kylo calls Rey “babe”. It makes him sound like a dudebro
