I am so used to being the only/one of the only people still wearing a mask when I go out into the world that I often don't even consciously note it at the time, but it is astounding how often I will go to a medical appointment and none of the staff I encounter are wearing masks. Very rarely I will get a provider who sees my mask and asks if I would be more comfortable if they wore one (which I do appreciate) but it has been probably more than a year since I went to an appointment (and I go to a lot) where one of the medical workers was just already wearing a mask. Bummer.
