Conversation between me and one of my professors this morning:

Prof: “Class started 10 minutes ago. What kept you?” Me: “I was trying to find a place to park here on campus. Apparently I should have spent that time searching for Bigfoot...at least his mythical existence has some evidence to it.”

The matter was promptly dropped.

Having to get a Professor Approval signed (for a digital art class that I really need only) to be asked to send it electronically, and still unable to register for the class several days later. Send a reminder email about the form and it’s been eight days now and it’s clear from the sent mail tab that the email hasn’t even been opened yet. Now all the class seats are full and I’m suck with only four classes instead of a required five ...

Also, Metal smithing was a goddamn train wreck. The professor’s critique wasn't "this is what you did good and this is what you could improve on" but in actuality "I'm flunking you and your stuff sucks and you're not an artist" Not making that up, my professor literally said to my face that I'm not an artist. I should’ve dropped that class the first day but I naively thought I could actually make it ... r.i.p my gpa. I liked the processes in metal smithing tbh, I’m just not cut out to design jewelry I guess :x The only good thing about that class was that all of my classmates were nice and awesome people.

I cannot wait to transfer in another year, because it’s clear that staying here won’t get me to the classes that I actually need in order to grow and improve as an artist. And of course some of the professors ... yeah.

I’m hoping my college career is just one long episode of Punk’d and soon Ashton Kutcher is going to jump out and be all “Haha! I bet you thought you were 6 years into a 4 year degree with two more years recently tacked on due to new credit requirements! You really already have a Bachelors in Anthropology and you already have your Doctorate completed! Oh, man! We got you so good!” Then, I can be finished and punch Asthon in the face.

This is absolute bullshit. I am not going to shell out 250 just because I have ONE class prior to 4pm and it would be cheaper to just use the pay n park. ESPECIALLY because parking is so limited and ridiculous due to construction. I hate it here so much.

They spent a ton of money building a sports centre we didn't need. Now we only have the funds to keep it open for 6 months. Get your act together UAA!

So wait they wont charge us money for the first/second week because we're figuring out schedules out,

but if the class doesn't have it's bare minimum by the first day it's on then it's cancelled for the whole semester
