Is it just me, or are Google products terrible to lock at? If you’re going to collect my personal information just so you can make $12 on advertising to me, at least make the product look good.

Facebook Timeline drove me away from Facebook
Sharing what I posted in my Facebook Page. I'm leaving Facebook for good. ========== It's been nearly 5 years since I joined Faceboook. It was a welcome change from Friendster. At that time, Friendster has become bloated and full of crap. The minimal design and apps available to users made me switch. Now, after 5 years, and after sooooooo many iterations on its user interface and a bunch of privacy concerns, I've finally decided it's not worth having a Facebook account. With the imminent mandatory implementation of the Timeline interface, it becomes clear: we have come full circle. Facebook looks like Friendster 10 years ago. With more annoyances. I've been vocal to my friends about my hatred towards the new interface. Making it mandatory just drove the last nail to the coffin. I've been using G+ since its release last June. I made the switch, and kept my Facebook account in case people need to reach me. I've been thinking about this for a few days now since the announcement about the Timeline interface. I'll lose connections to people spanning from my childhood to college, work, and even from my inner circle of friends. But then again, will I really be out of touch? Is Facebook the only way to connect? Facebook is nothing more than a tool to help in connecting people. Any social network should not dictate how we connect, and how we share parts of our life to others. It should never define how friendships are made or destroyed. I've seen it so many times: "you're not friends on Facebook, so you're not really friends". Bottom line, it doesn't matter if I'm not here. After all, I'm just one of the 750 million users here. I'll always be floating around, somewhere in the vast internet. As long as we can reach to each other, Facebook (or any other social network) doesn't matter. Once it's been implemented, I'll be deleting my account completely. I'm primarily using G+ now, and I can be reached here: http://gplus.to/dragonlord
Thanks to everyone. See ya!
