ok i’ve only played olive town for 2 hours but my current opinion is: good but not as good as trio of towns. buuuut i did hate trio of towns when i first played it, and only when i came back to it months later did it become my all time favorite farming game. so. i won’t be too quick to judge.

#the main thing i don't like is no character portraits!!!!#sure the models and screen are bigger and clearer but still without the portraits the characters feel expressionless and lifeless #uhh what else...#idk the graphics... some of the characters look... bad... the 3d art style paired with the no portraits thing makes me dislike it #it feels kinda like a cheap indie game sometimes #also going from such fleshed out characters in trio of towns back to the standard charachters with 2 dialogue lines per heart feels bad #the gameplay be good tho i like how you can fix up the chicken coop and tame a wild chicken
