Not me having a mental crashout remembering that Broken is loyal to both Tower AND Wild in cannon. This makes writing Broken’s allegiances within this storyline… Interesting, to say the least.
- Nearly constantly drooling and blushes at weird inappropriate times ???
- Sadomasochist. I said it.
- Probably a cannibal tbh. I have a feeling the spawn cult would probably encourage this shit
- Homicidal as hell
- Spends like half of their prayer time carving their own flesh.
- NEVER LET THEM COOK YOU DINNER. It will be raw and bloody and probably give you 5 diseases
- AMAB, and I also HC Azure as AFAB. T4T Freak4Freak
- Has mauled the other survivors. Will do it again
- Doesn't sleep.
- Doesn't brush their hair but wash themself almost obsessively. Boiling water and scrubbing so hard their skin gets irritated
- Heterochromia because yes !
- 100% believed Azure would respawn and started panicking when a week had passed without a sign of them
- Cuts their own hair... With their dagger... Thinks it looks good...
- Massive fucking sweet tooth.
- Autistic? Probably. What's their hyperfixation? Spawnism. Dumbass.
- Definitely has some form of schizophrenia. Thinks the spawn can speak to them and they're really fulfilling its true wants. The others only made this way worse
- Cried watching A Dog's Purpose
- Cries playing horror games while killing people for enrichment
- Speaking of enrichment, they stalk you for enrichment!
- Tie a bell to them please they keep appearing.
- After Azure died Two Time started wearing his scarf for safe keeping, and then as a memorial when he never respawned.
- The leaders basically told Two that y'know. Azure was spreading hearsay [which they were] and that's why they didn't respawn
- Azure was trying so so hard to unbrainwash Two but uh. Didn't work.
- They are disturbingly formal. Bow when meeting you and shit
PLS NOTE: DO NOT ATTEMPT STUFF IN THIS FIC. there’s a part including a knife and a lighter (not violence) that You Will Know When You See. don’t attempt it. idc if you think it will work i’m sure it would DO NOT DO IT. ok that’s it ily
ALSO makeup tip: liquid highlighter is so hot. fenty beauty has a good duo of their bestsellers in two mini shades but ik that’s expense so nyx also has a good one but it’s more of a pink pearl champagne-esque colour whereas i prefer more golden or cream BUT that’s just me. ur welcome
also liquid blush, on the nose as well, and always just a little more than you think. you’ll know it when you see it. ilyguys

You’re sick of MREs, and you’re not the only one. Price said you could go out to the local grocer, considering they’re using your safe house and the locals know you. Any funny business from the local Shadows is likely to draw attention, and their presence is low enough that he’ll allow you “just the one trip, in an’ out in an hour.”
So, you sent out a text:
going for food lmk if u want anything
Which received many replies (mostly from Soap who, somehow, thinks he’s free to ask for half the damn shop). Now, you’re leaning over the bathroom sink to blend the colour over your cheekbones from what makeup you’ve kept here. Fussing with your face, you almost don’t notice the knock on the door.
“Yeah?” you call out, only half distracted from your task. They don’t say anything, knocking twice more. You sigh. “Come in.”
Not to your surprise, Ghost enters the room with too little noise. You flash a glance at him in the mirror before returning to your task, screwing close the cap on a tube before unscrewing another.
“What’s up?” You can feel him watching your movements as you dab highlighter on your cheekbones, gentle enough to look natural but still just as much as you like. It’s a natural tone, matching you well, but you wonder…
He still hasn’t spoken up. You glance at him in the mirror, locking his gaze. “Not that I don’t appreciate spending time with you, but are you just planning or staring at me while I get ready?”
“You’re going out,” he says dumbly. You feel like his brain must be a rock.
“Yes,” you answer plainly. Turning back to your tools and brushes set out before you, you curse to realize you have no lash curler. Thinking quickly, you pull the knife from its place on your leg and hold a hand out to him. “Lighter.”
He looks at you for a moment before fishing one out of his pocket and handing it over. “You’re doing…” Ghost makes a vague gesture to his face, and you grin.
“My makeup?” You turn to the mirror, lighting a small portion of the curved blade and then bringing it to your eye, curling your lashes on it. One side, then the other. Blinking a few times in the mirror, your eyes adjust to find Ghost’s almost-surprised but mostly tired expression, like he’s just not even going to ask.
“You’re putting on makeup and goin’ out,” he reiterates. You pull a tube of mascara from where it was warming in your bra, pumping it a few times before leaning into the mirror to carefully apply it. If this gets on your lower lash line you’re going to scream.
“Uh huh,” you acknowledge him. You move to the other eye. “Yeah, and?”
There’s a brief pause as Ghost’s stillness and quiet turn awkward. If he were the type, you’d swear he’d shuffle on his feet before answering.
“Goin’ to see someone?”
You pull back from the mirror, just barely. You turn to look at him, frowning. “What?”
He becomes uncomfortable, almost agitated. “Nothin’, don’t be gone too long.”
He turns to leave, and you’re quick to drop the mascara on the counter and close the gap between you two.
“Simon,” you say, voice pleading and petulant. He glances back at you briefly, and you can tell he’s struggling to let himself stay. But he doesn’t pull away, even if that weird feeling is back in his chest again and it makes him feel like throwing up the butterflies in his stomach. That fact - that he stays, even when he’s so obviously fighting the instinct to flee - it makes you appreciate him, the effort he’s put into himself. He wasn’t always so good with staying in the vulnerable moments, but his willingness to try for you has meant so much. Whatever this is, it hasn’t been easy; but, with both your work, you’re willing to admit it’s one of the things you’re proud of in your life - even if ‘it’ isn’t officially anything yet.
“You come here when you’re off?” he asks, feigning casual. You smile softly, trying not to spook him off. You take one of his arms clasped in front of him in both your hands, opening him up to you.
“Not often,” you tell him honestly, “not recently.” You step closer to him, and his hand finds its natural place in the small curve of your back. “Why?”
“Just… was curious, is all.” He’s struggling to maintain eye contact with you now, cute but obvious. “So you’re… goin’ out like this, then? With the makeup?”
“I am,” you nod. He searches your face, inspecting you. After a moment, he gives a gruff noise of approval.
“Looks nice,” he compliments you. You beam.
“Not that you need it, though,” he adds after a second. You laugh, running your hands up his arms and to his shoulders. Both his hands settle on your back now.
“You’re so sweet,” you hum, pressing a kiss to the cheek of his mask. His eyes get nervous and dart away, but his hands squeeze gently where they hold on to you. “Do you want me to get anything while I’m out? What was that jerky you liked?”
“King’s jerky,” he says, “but… you dont have to go right away, do you?”
As he says it, he’s pulling you closer and tucking the top of your head under his chin. It feels nice to stand here and be held.
“Not yet,” you concede. “Dinner’s not for another couple hours.”
Though I feel like I don’t write enough to know this yet 😅
5 Things You Never Get Tired of Writing
1. Emotional reunions: I really loved writing the unsure tension, sadness and guilt ridden emotions with Arlo/Aida and MC reuniting. How unsure and confusing it can be.
2. Pain in a fluffy way: I liked writing the prologue and remembering A flashback in a kinda an abstract way. I was trying to be fancy with the words and I think it worked out.
3. Raw grief: I actually deleted some parts of this from Eddie’s flashback (spoilers?) because I thought it was too much. And maybe I only like it because it was therapeutic for me lol. But I also wrote it with not a lot of description and for me- I loved that, while grief is a tumultuous thing, it also slaps you out of no where and has you keeling over. Sometimes a single word has the most effect.
4. Romantic Confessions/Outbursts: I’ve written some of these already and holy shittt I make myself blush and tear up. I don’t like writing fluffy but I do like emotionally charged, somber, maybe angry and raw confessions.
5. Leading up to sex: As everyone knows, it’s the journey, not the destination. And I have written some of these scenes already. But the emotional dynamics with this can be sooo enthralling and powerful.
