Okay just one extra little art thingy plus a yap session below the cut sorryyy I usually prefer posting my art in clumps

Uhh okay so shades!!! We love bro at least I do lol

So identity issues I essentially always thought he struggled with this, and first in foremost I’m gonna go into the gender related stuff rq to expand my perspective a bit more since I know some hc shades as transgender (I enjoy this, just not my hc)

Personally I see him more as simply gender nonconforming and just queer, not a lot of labels

But anyways it’s pretty clear that shades definitely isn’t entirely strict to being a guy, I mean sure the cross dressing bit was played off as a joke but I love looking deeper idgaf, he clearly ended up taking fun in dressing more feminine, as when seen with knuckles, he clearly got a boost in confidence and u can’t tell me he didn’t have a bit of fun, which was a surprise upon his usual softer personality

(Of course he showcased bravery before with rescuing Amy albeit bawling his eyes out after lol)

Plus generally the activities he’s interested in tend to be more feminine leaning, as well as getting along more with the gals: Amy, rouge and cream, think vanilla too

I think as he observes more about the world he would definitely explore his gender expression, maybe go by she/they for awhile before deciding what he prefers, he strikes me as someone who’d be shocked at first but willing to learn and lean into it upon finding out more (I mean the whole “but I’m a boy!’ Objection to cream into actively having fun in that dress lol)

WHICCHH is why I totally see the transgender vision other people have #u guys cooked trust

Okay onto non gender related identity issues

So shades clearly is vastly different from shadow and I feel he would, in shorter words, essentially live in shadows shadow for quite some time if not most of his life

Like other people would definitely approach him like “OH MY GOD SHADOW WHATRE U DOING HERE WEARING THAG SWEATER LOL?!” And I’m sure after awhile, no matter how kind the rando would be, it would definitely get under his skin

Admittedly in one of the authors notes it’s mentioned that they intended for shades to take on a braver more heroic role and make Sonic feel bad for brushing off his friends, so I don’t think he’d remain soft and docile forever forever, but I think his sensitivity would remain, just that his bravery only really comes out during situations it’s needed in (like with Amy) although I think he fumbles through them only to somehow come out on top lol

I feel he’d develop really bad imposter syndrome (from fumbling through situations) and likely shame from not being as aurafarming as shadow

Plus side note, I like to believe his abilities sometimes malfunction due to him not having fully cooked in the capsule (he was released early)

And I know he definitely has a good support system I mean Amy, vanilla, and cream, but like, sometimes even with support shit still happens

Honestly I think his main struggle is just trying to break out of the mold of simply being a shadow clone, I feel like he’d try out different clothes and hairstyles or maybe even dye his fur, but due to the black doom genes, (pretty sure in Sonic eggs they’re biological clowns not robotic but I had fun in this art) I feel like due to those genes, the next day the dye would fade and his quills would bounce back, constantly stuck in a form he has to make an effort to change

So like basically these just my silly little ocs uhh set in like fantasy Wild West heh 😼

Main characters be Orpheus and Oliver

BOTH THEY/THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve always imagined there story kinda like a game and I would like to sometime make one but as of now I have no knowledge of how to do so…. (Think like one shot… also been considering grim fandango kinda vibes but idk how the fuck blender works god)

Essentially Oliver dies but some guy takes decaying corpse, fixes uo stuff by just adding random shit they found around like animal hide+bones for missing parts and they resistant body to flex or whatever but instead of Oliver getting their body back their body is just some new guy and the whole goal is to get Oliver to return to their body and kick this rando out

No endings but I’ve always been fond of the secret true ending…. Undertale nerd ok shut up actually

Uhh Alvaro is an antagonist but like can be helpful on the journey if the right choices be made, heh 🤫 spoilersss

Last two are scrapped characters, maybe they’d show up as npcs as a small cameo but basically they were like a pirate and some girl she held for ransom but lowkey they thinking of eloping (considered for travel across the seas since heh… Wild West had a crossover w pirates and all)

Gen 6? Idk new generation idea that I had, made 7 instead of six tho because the number always made me mad

Normally I don’t post jus 1 artwork but the reasearch and sketching of these guys took me 3 whole ass hours so I’m just gonna ramble

Morning glory-magic

The main character, she’s very well meaning but a bit shy and trying to make more friend (yay)

Generally though, despite being a Pegasus, she possesses a natural talent for magic when it comes to artifacts and spells

But also her name, while taken from g3, is meant to also tie her into silver rain just a bit more, as they’re both weather related+I like to imagine it’s like the morning after a rainstorm yk?

Eventually I think her goal would be to go out and unite ponies all around, yay!

Silver rain-change

Initially an antagonist to the group, she’s meant to change, especially since rain is seen a symbol of renewal and well, change (the 7th member because)

Goes from taunting and fighting with other ponies due to her own sadness, eventually she’s able to look beyond that and while still a bit mean, she learns to help others but is still competitive

Also yes they’re definitely also influenced by celestia and Luna design wise

Minty-laughter

Honestly I just thought she was cute (goes for most here lol) but she’s quite lively and often hangs out with butterscotch and Lickety split (all food related so lol) although her magic isn’t very good as it’s mostly all party tricks

She’s quite lucky and has fun with her friends

Lickety split-kindness

She makes many sweets which he gifts to both her friends and anypony who comes by, she’s very sweet and often the mom of the group (she has a kid too so)

Like g4 I wanted to keep kindness and loyalty the first pair, because it’s so cute like yeah friendship really does start at loyalty and kindness

Shining star-generosity

She’s a goal driven pony who often hangs with with wisteria to relax

She aims to learn the ability to grant wishes so everypony can be happy, yay!!

Butterscotch-loyalty

She’s quite the fashionista, she actively enjoys modeling and comes from a wealthy background

But essentially she and Lickety split are friends and I’d imagine their respective communities would not get along at all, so eventually butterscotch would make a choice and decide to stick around with Lickety split after her family wanted to move far away to try and pry them away from each other

Wisteria-honesty

Friends w everypony, although she can be a bit direct sometimes, I imagine she helps others relax and calm down especially after big fights, essentially a mediator and great for advice

In a way she brings the honesty out of others and helps silver rain to overcome her issues

General stuff

I should say that I think every1 can technically use magic and fly just that ponies have better proficiencies (I say this because if rarity can create wings then I choose to believe an earth pony can utilize a spellbook ok)

There are no alicorns though, and this is the transition of pony’s getting along since I’m sure it took some time for the 3 to actually start getting along yk it didn’t happen in 1 day

So yes unicorns, Pegasus, and earth ponies do fight over their differences quite a lot (which is why butterscotches community was beefing w Lickety splits) and also y silver rain was beefing with this group

As a series I don’t think this would go much into the word building but instead focus a lot a lot on the lessons since yk kids show lol, probably just them interacting with each other and the couple other ponies around

The final would prolly just be all 3 ponies everywhere now being friends so yay no more beef

Also design wise I wanted them to look more pony like so that’s why it’s only like 98% g4

All I have for now, just wanted to dump all this out, as per usual I probably won’t do anything with these concepts in the future I just like to create ideas then leave them at the front step of an orphanage

Okay so idk if I’ve talked much about my au that’s kinda shitpost kinda not uhhh

Basically think evil au where everyone’s evil and everyone who’s bad is good uh yeah, also sonic doesn’t exist which is why everything’s bad (also because he’s too cool to make evil)

Sally acorn->smelly corn, Amy rose->lamely nose, shadow->meadow(new addition),rouge->mooch,blaze->phaze

So smelly corn is a tryants and she’s chipmunk/skunk instead of chipmunk/squirrel, hence the smelly corn part, uh I imagine she hired Lamely to help her get people under her control (think brain and brawn kinda duo) Lamley is pretty violent and gets obsessed over people very easy

All I really have for meadow phaze and mooch is that, meadow was essentially corrupted as he did want to stop the world from going into disarray before giving up and doing nothing when Maria passed (don have an evil name for her yet) and he hangs with mooch who wel, as the name suggests, mooches off of him and is pretty lazy, phaze is basically just an arsonist all of the time

So these two concepts I drew up after scrolling through deviant art for Sallamy and saw a lot of Sally vs Amy cuz yk back in yee olden times that was quite common

Uhh essentially horror au where evil guy sonic wants a perfect girlfriend and doesn’t want to pick so they’re fused together, Amy controls the legs and Sally the arms, Amy is pretty out of it because I mean, I’d go actually crazy too if I were stitched to my rival, Sally is more sane but very terrified all of the time

WHOS READY FOR MORE SHADES!!!

Okay so for these two I hope u guys know by now that I do headcanon these three as family, NOT CANON TO SONIC EGGS I just think it’s cute

So first is a family photo

Second I wanted to showcase more of shades and vanilla since I mostly do cream and shades yk? And for that vanillas sewing up her late husbands outfit to better fit shades, (which is also why his little gem is bigger than the others) I feel like vanillas husband woulda passed pretty early on, maybe even before cream was born unfortunately or when she was a baby

Generally I think vanilla would quite like shades especially since I do kinda also hc vanilla is a rancher but for like chao, I feel she would be relieved because cream is a bit too young to help a lot with the chao, while shades can do much more lol

Actually this makes me wanna talk more about vanilla lowk… she definitely had to ask for some help when her husband passed because yk asking care of chao with a baby in ur hands and the sudden loss of ur extra support isn’t so fun

Which is how I personally think she came across vector, charmy and espio, like I feel cuz they’re so broke they woulda accepted the job offer even tho they aren’t really investigating anything, of course later vector would probably drop by anyways lol ###partay

A bit of context on these two

I wanted to include Sally somehow for my shades dailies cuz I miss her and wish sega didn’t hate her sigghhghg

Thought it would be cute if she replaced Amy’s role to shades if it was more angled toward the SATAM continuity, mainly giving old clothes part lol

Other drawing was jus cuz I got my blood drawn and wanted to project it onto shades which btw they said I was very brave 😼

Sonic game concepts (won’t go much further because I don’t know nothing bout game design)

I’m sooo ngl I’ve thought about this for awhile but never put pen to paper, after playing uhhhh murder of sonic the hedgehog I went on to think about more games that weren’t platformers but were small and focused on a character to go more in depth

Fighting game

Ok so for this one I originally actually imagined it for my oc dumpster fire dorito hot chip, love her btw, so just a note, she is important to this lore look listen, we listen and we don’t judge 😭

Ok so knuckles OR Amy (I originally planned for Amy bc I like her but realized knuckles is more suited for a role, maybe she could be like a character unlock after completing the full game)

BUT KNUCKLES realizes that like something’s a bit fishy about this lil wrestling place and he’s like hmm it’s a bit weird that this one girl be winning ALL her fights and so he fights opponents (like tutorial to boss fight you feel?) and after awhile he realizes that she IS cheating by some chaos emerald she snagged and for some reason is only wrecking havoc in this ring so he fights her and gets it back (yay!!)

Simple but yk, something to get the poor guy away from his fucking island for once 😭

Amy’s games

So Amy likes to bake right i didn’t get to include it but I’d imagine something similar to cooking mama yk, like maybe u play as cream and ants tryna impress sonic or something right!! So U go and complete recipes and at the end sonic stops by but also brings everyone else and everyone just parties it out ok I love feel good endings

Now the dress up is pretty self explanatory she’s dressing up, maybe once again sonic related because hey, I love Amy when she got an obvious crush she’s so cute stop actually 😭 LEAVE HER ALONE!!

Rouge

Yeah I’m not too proud on how this turned out but I was thinking like a rhythm game where help her steal items and grow ur collection, no real ending but I feel like u could unlock different outfits too and idk that’d be cool I’m not a game designer at all
