How I make UI color palettes
UI Design Starter Kit
This post is 50% selfish, 50% from my recent obsession about mastering UI Design. In a sad attempt to get more attention to my tumblr, here are some pretty sweet resources I've found over the past few weeks. Who ever stumbles upon this blog, enjoy!
iOS 7 Cheat Sheet
http://ivomynttinen.com/blog/the-ios-7-design-cheat-sheet/
This website is awesome for anyone needing the most recent set of parameters for making ios 7 apps for the iPhone, which I believe comes out in two days. This guy also keeps a lot of pretty handy stuff on his blog, which I'd recommend checking out.
iOS 7 App Icon Template
http://appicontemplate.com/ios7
Has all sorts of resolutions, and it's really easy to simply paste your icon as a smart object and have it formatted for every display option. There's also a link on this page explaining how to use the template in order to get the most out of it.
iOS UI Kits
http://webdesignledger.com/freebies/11-ui-kits-for-iphone-and-ipad-development
A little dated, but there's definitely some good stuff in here.
App Icon Tutorials
http://speckyboy.com/2012/03/07/50-detailed-icon-design-tutorials-for-photoshop/
Just doing one of these a day is making me feel like I am improving tons when it comes to icon design. And most of these tutorials let you download the .psd file, which is such a huge help.
Last but not least....
something to aspire to

this guy's work is amazing, and seeing him walk through the process is insane and wonderful.
So hopefully these resources help as much as they've helped me, and please follow my tumblr! More to come, and happy designing.
