I made a friend in the garden today. I think jumping spider, but not a kind I've come across before. Usually we just get zebras, which is what I was comparing him to. If anyone can confirm his species, please do 😁

I call this - Thank you for making me out like a liar, Jimmy (a Spider Story)
Long story abrivianted.
Saw a zebra jumping spider on my bed a few days ago. Harmless, very timid. Didnt want him harmed but decided he could assist with the drain flies on his merry way, so I actually use expressions and hand gestures to guide him safely (they can see colour and depth very well. For gestures, they 'wave' when intrigued and often towards potential prey - I dont believe these do it out of courtship, though some do - so I used that similar motion with 2 fingers to communicate 'dangerous areas'. I'd rather he fears me and lives, than gets too cosy and at risk. It worked. And they're very in tune! Next day, there's buzzing again at m windowsill. Most likely another yellow jacket. Couldnt find it to release so I closed the curtains as precaution and muttered jokingly "Where's that fuckin spider when you need him?" Few hours later, that same lil bastard was on the curtain pole. I left him as he was in a safe place that wouldnt be disturbed.
Today, I'm playing a horror game and the lil cunt descends onto me like Jesus to the people. Ended up using a jarred candle (unused) to trap and release him into proper safety and a more nurishing environment.
How did me make me out like a liar? TWO ways:
1) Because I had the audacity to state a fact that *most* jumping spiders fall into (actual quote "No worries, due to their lifestyle they dont stay around long and he'll help with the mini fly shits") only for him to live rent free in my fucking room
2) That free loadin lil bugger did not help with the mini flies (it's an easy solution and always monitored and sanitary, I just thought this would work as a nice trade off but clearly not. Clearly fucking not.)
You utter bastard (I hope you're doin strong, lil buddy)
