In order to be considered for this position, you will need to be a NMC Registered Nurse Adult with significant post-registration experience. You will hold a UK driving license. You will also have experience of Chemotherapy administration and will hold recognised training with this. You should also have experience of IV and cannulation. Our client works with the NHS to reduce patient's time in hospitals and to help alleviate bed pressures in hospitals. They work closely with the trust and provide nursing, Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapy services to patients discharged from the hospital in their own home environments. You role will be to provide Chemotherapy treatment to patients within their own homes. All equipment required will already be at the home for you on arrival and the patient will be expecting your arrival. The prior day, you will have received details of your patients and any treatment required. Your role will be to ensure that each patient received his or her treatment and ensure that they do not require any further nursing care before you leave. Some patients will require only Oral Oncology medicine and you will provide advice on administration and ensure that the patient understands what is required before you leave. The patients will also have access to a 24/7 central phone advice line should they need it also. This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hour per week. This will include some early morning, evening and weekend working as part of a team rota. Salary for the position is between £28,420 and £35,664 and is dependent on experience and suitability for the position. Enhancements are paid for evening, weekend and bank holiday working. There is also the option of either a company car or a car allowance of £4,250 per annum. On top of this is other company equipment such as a tablet, phone and all working travel expenses paid.
